The truth on why the 1% Mythic raiding guilds wanted loot nerfs for gear drops from other end game content

Fair but when you have 16 people funneling 4 (one for each armor type), per run, odds are still in your favor.

didn’t what?

Mythic Raiders demanding Mythic+ be nerfed. Which is the narrative a lot of people seem to have.

ah yea. they likely don’t care to much. though, it might mean an extra week or two of grinding.

They dont realize because theyre all entitled legion/bfa babies

At least you’re honest and wear your heart on your sleeve on the internet, and that’s rare.
The only reason you’re having any difficulty getting into groups is because you have probably been trying to skip steps and more or less jump straight to 15s. It’s not supposed to work that way, and that won’t get you invited.
You have to work through they keys that are worthless. It isn’t about whether or not they’re a waste of time, but rather that the people you’re applying to took the time to do them. Its disrespectful to feel entitled to skip something that others worked hard to get through

I just feel like it’d be a waste of time, even if I did a thousand +10s I still don’t think i’d ever feel ready to do a +11. That’s just the confidence issues in play.

I do +15s only because my guild makes them available at times and I struggle through because of the weekly chest.

I felt that way for quite some time. the only way to gain confidence is to fail. Don’t be afraid of failure, my good man

I’m not so much afraid of failure, as I’m afraid of people around me’s reactions to failure, and their opinions of me as a result.

It’s partly why I loved content like the mage tower and horrific visions. Failure or success is entirely dependent on me and there’s no one around to judge for a mistake.

I can almost guarantee that someone in the meetings that killed Master Looting was sitting there saying, “We could cut down our ticket volume in half if instead of in-game looting methods like treasure chests we just had an automated program that doled out loot to each individual player.”

Blizzard hates master loot because it creates a sense of ambiguity, which leads to players whining. I still remember when one of the very first Obsidian Edged Blade dropped on my old server- Scarlet Crusade- and it went to a paladin. People lost their sh-t about it because it’s clearly a warrior weapon and paladin DPS in classic was horrible. People who were not even in that raid guild, didn’t raid, and in no way were related to the decision at all were kicking up sh-t over it.

Personal loot- for better or worse- allows Blizzard to look at everything and say, “Well how about that?” instead of having to actually get GM’s involved and investigating.

Apparently its Blizzard’s opinion too. Therefor it is no longer an opinion and is fact.

If the fly hacking botters ever present in classic are any indication of blizzards oversight I’d say blizzard is passed out drunk in the recliner with a 0% chance of taking us to bensons animal farm.

I can definitely relate. There’s something called maelstrom arena in elder scrolls online. It’s like an 8 or 9 boss raid, but completely solo and extremely difficult unless you do cheesy builds, etc.
I quit the game and came back several times because it used to haunt me. One day I finally beat it and I was elated

Here we go with the 1% boogeyman again. Somehow nerfing mythic drops but they can’t get covenants changed. WILD

Or ya know, from all the people putting in tickets because some epeen stole their loot

The M+ loot pinata is coming to an end!

Those chests are pretty insulting.

That hasn’t been a problem since wod, when CS was so swamped with loot ninja pug raid tickets that they couldn’t deal with them. And so they put personal loot in every pug situation. We didn’t see any complaints in Legion. The problem was solved.

Huh, like, actually what are you talking about? Mythic raiders by and large either don’t care about M+ loot at all, or enjoyed it being equal to / greater than heroic raid loot. Mythic raiders aren’t the ones carrying signs around trying to argue that heroic raids are somehow difficult enough to warrant better loot than M+.

Heroic raiders are your villain dude. I’m pissed about the change too.

Let me adjust my tin foil hat first

The purpose of these changes is to sell more tokens to people who will purchase paid carries.
