The Top 6 reasons myself and others have left the game

Do you have a source to cite for this wild claim or did you make it up?

For me it really comes down to the shift that the game made after MoP. Legion was a respite of sorts, but basically we have had 3 1/2 bad expacs since MoP.

Why am I still here? I have a week or two left. I always want to believe that Blizzard will snap out of it but BfA and SL in a row have killed off hope.

Have group need tank… 2 hours later.

You’re right, only blizz can lose 30% of its MAU during a pandemic

  1. COVID
  2. Regular Torghast was nerfed, Twisting Corridors is cosmetic only challenge mode so it’s okay to be stupid hard.
  3. Raider IO is just a tool, like Gearscore or DPS meters.
  4. Timegating is annoying, I agree on that. But raids are fully open on Normal and Heroic on the day they go live, 1 week later for Mythic.
  5. Entirely subjective.
  6. COVID. Nobody was prepared to go full remote.

Raiderio has nothing do to, really, with your gear. We already have ilvl for that. All raiderio does, at the end of the day, is to say what dungeons you’ve run and how successful you were. I don’t M+ much on this character these days but I’ve been doing a lot of them on my Guardian Druid. And I’ve seen way too many DPS trying to do M+ pugs in the 5-10 range that clearly have no idea how to handle the mechanics of boss fights, to say nothing of dealing with affixes.

If you start with the lower M+ levels and work your way up and take the time to learn the fights and how to be effective, whether you are a tank, healer, or DPS, RaiderIO won’t be a problem.

People are actually leaving WoW, and not just WoW, but Blizzard player numbers as a whole are down 29%

and all because they stopped focusing on players. Its just a cash grab now. Wheres the content? Wheres the updates? Wheres the patch content that increases social interaction instead of creating toxicity?

The insane pricing around TBC proves my point to a T.

It more has to do with Blizzard now caring more about engagement metrics than player enjoyment. The endless monetization is a huge problem, but imo things that are purposefully put into the game to throttle players, like holding out on flying, Conduit Energy, Only giving players 1 single way to earn Soul Ash, not allowing us to refund Legendaries etc are a much bigger problem. I can for the most part ignore the cash shop, but these systems that are put in place just for engagement metrics are the major problem in my eyes.

…so you want Blizzard to force people to play tanks? How is it Blizzards fault you can’t find a tank?

Or and heres an idea they not promote toxic game changes that only add to moderators work load.

I am guessing you don’t understand your type of player is the reason for time gating.

The want to do everything in a day and then complain about no content crowd.

oh great children are reporting this post as trolling now lol seriously? you cant even try to address the issues killing the game in a long thought out post any more with out people being morons.

seems like you were sitting on the fence already if this is all it took to knock you off. These are all pretty minor issues and you couldnt even wait to see how a .1 patch fully played out. The slow release is forgivable due to… global circumstances and most of the other issues stem from that. be more patient.
