The cherry picker, the lost arrow, the guilt master, and the twister can all be combined into 1: The gaslighter.

Your breakdown is honestly more detailed, but I think that anyone without awareness of gaslighting should become…aware.

The Info-maniac – This technique will spout data like a fountain. Giving statistic’s left and right. No one ever knows if the info-maniac is wrong or right because they are generally too lazy to fact check them. This technique also utilizes spelling / grammar checks to shut down it’s target quickly.

To be 100% serious for one moment, don’t you just love the people who, despite being thrown link after link, after link after link, they still wouldn’t check them? I just want to let people know, that crap is annoying and it just makes me not put in half the effort i do if the person isn’t going to either. But i do it cause i love you kind folk.

The generalizer – This technique speaks in broad general terms from life experience. It never gets into any specific details and things are generally only from one point of view.

Well broad strokes get the job done, less effective, covers almost nothing, but gets the job quicker. Now if you excuse me, i’m going to drink this kool-aid while playing WoW classic as a totally no way at all a symbolic visualization of my thoughts of the said community painted in broad a brush i can possibly can.

The guilt master- This technique is much like the unholy child of Mother Gothel and Bill Lumberg it will use the mastery of the guilt trip to lower its target into feeling as if they are the scum of the earth and do not deserve to breathe air.

…Actually i don’t have any jokes for it, i just think that technique is pretty darn dastardly, as ironic as it sounds. Don’t you also just love it when you have something you prefer or share an opinion and somebody acts like your scum of the earth. It’s one thing for that person to tell you you are wrong or disagree with you… it’s another to make you feel guilty.

The retail curser – Retail has mastered the art of cussing without cussing. This technique uses that skill and proceeds to cuss up a storm without using any actual cuss words that break terms of service. It is truly a sight to behold when in action.

Oh yea, you should add this as well. The Novelist - the guy that goes arguably too much into detail and get’s really lengthy and drawn out at times, on average producing walls of text. Though it’s a very rare technique, infact only one guy ever does it, and his name is Barrydorfenmore or something.

The truth is the majority does not investigate into the context of a discussion and instead reads the front few and last few posts of a thread. This technique uses this to its advantage on a particular target hounding them until the target has lost it and finally post’s something that violates the terms of service. Then it flags and stops the hunt so that others may come in not knowing the context and joining in on the flag.
