This would be the best ever game if only it was just like retail but had no new content!
Maybe stop the content at TBC but with all the ease of use that retail has!
This way we can skip as much of the game as possible - including any new content - and prance around in lovely epics and “world firsts” we were never good enough to obtain at the time it was actually relevant.
We can then boast about how much better the player base is these days!
Time for fun!!! /sarcasm.
Still, I should support this. It will result in people getting bored quickly once everyone’s got their cheap thrills, and will reinvigorate Classic Vanilla and private servers.

Blows my mind how many people believe that adding anything will ruin the game.
Go PlAy ReTaIl hurrr hurrr hurrrr. Common answer. I swear a few QoL things that can be added to TBC would really make the game that much better. Adding dual spec or lfg tool doesn’t just go from TBC to TBC Shadowlands.

Every player (and his uncle and his uncle’s dog and his uncle’s dog’s puppies and his uncle’s dog’s puppies vet) has their own opinion, about everything.
But this isn’t a “player-vote-rule-decided” game. Blizzard never offered that.
This is a “before the 2009 changes” game, for players that don’t think the WotLK and later changes were “improvements”, even though Blizzard thinks that.
Blizzard doesn’t offer each of us a custom game. Three is more than enough. Take it or leave it. Play it or not. Stop asking “no, give me THE GAME I WANT”.

It’s basically a petition forum full of children stamping their feet and demanding more sweeties before dinner with no concern at all for the consequences to game or to others.
And the current Dev team is a step parent trying to bribe their affections by giving them what they demand.
There’s no actually “discussion” on these forums. Just demands and attacks on those who question the demands.
Some people treat Blizzards concession to #somechanges as #gimmegimmegimme.

The fact that the thread is being treated as a petition rather than a discussion is not so much an attack as it is a statement of fact. You said it yourself - you don’t care what points are made so long as the demands get bumped.

That’s a lot of work to gather data to support your position. With that kind of data. I agree with you.
Duel spec is wanted.
Lets go ahead and add transmog, dungeon/raid finder, wow token, store mounts and hell lets even throw some garrisons too.
Hell just start everyone at 70 in full epics too.

You can go and start your own thread for those features and see how much support you get. Dual Spec has overwhelming support across the community.
This is really just a case of a playerbase used to having their choices mean nothing. That’s what Retail has trained players for over a decade. But that’s not how TBC was designed. It’ll be there in Wrath though.

What kind of dual spec? Can you switch in dungeons? Or just any implementation will do? Shows me that the community have no idea or care about the implications of what they’re demanding. Otherwise there would be suggestions on how to implement it in a balanced way.

Dozens of times people have suggested specs only be changed in a major city and be on a cool down. People are just getting tired of repeating our selves to people who don’t bother to read. In the next thread you’ll still be saying, “No one ever suggests how it gets implemented.”
I would like to put in my support for Dual Spec. There have already been changes to the game, we might as well get something positive out of it.
I disagree, while I think it would definitely be one of the less offensive changes that have been put in the game (character boosts being the worst offender, with layers in close second), there has to be a certain level of integrity maintained. 50g respecs are not that big of a deal, gold is easy to come by - if this is really that hard of a pill to swallow then level another character and stop complaining.
Also links to surveys are almost pointless - people who want the change are obviously going to seek out those polls at a much higher rate or go cry on the forums, the people who are not bothered by it are just enjoying the game.
