The T1 need the same treatment that the tier 2 sets got. I would argue they are more iconic than T2 ever was. Cenarian, Giantstalker, yes even banarama Lawbringer deserve a retouch of modern magic that the art teams can cook up.
I’m not forgetting Monk, DK, DH and Evoker
DK - could be a reimagined Deathbone set
Monk - Wailing Canverns Fang set reimagined
Evoker - One of the dragon scale profession sets reimagined (my vote is for black)
DH - Volcanic set reimagined (this one was a stretch, have a hard time thinking of what could fit.)
These could all be brought back with great looking effects and designs to really come alive.

I would remaster Tier 3 before I did Tier 1. Because most of the Tier 1 sets are honestly garbage. Rogue is probably the best one, followed by Priest. I support the idea because I want more things in high res and your suggestions for the newer classes are pretty good.
But I would want Tier 3 first.
I debated on T3 but I genuinely think that T1 gets more hate then it deserves. I think the only reason why was it was the first one and the art teams were smaller back then, it is the most dated because it is literally the first if you don’t count T0 and .5. With modern 3D assets and 21 years of tech improvements it could really shine.
Everything’s a process, but Tier 1 really does have very generic looks for everything except Rogue and Priest. Mage too, maybe. Like I say I’m not against this and I would be interested to see what high-resolution versions look like and the completionist lunatic in me would absolutely collect them.
But Tier 3 is one of the only sets that isn’t an easy farm. And for some reason its still held on some kind of wild and untouchable pedestal by the playerbase. I can, within reason, walk into any other raid, sneeze a few times and get the mogs. But not Tier 3. That is even now held behind some obscene grind that makes no sense. I kind of almost want the T3 remasters just to see that segment of the playerbase brick itself.
my problem with the T2 up res is that they also did a recolor with it. and so, if another tier is to get that treatment and it just so happens to be T3, if rogue doesnt get like a bone white variant of Bonescythe I will implode.
but unfortunately T1 does have some recolors iirc so its def possible to see that first if they do another set.
but man, I was on that cope hoping during SoD that T3 wouldve gotten a sick recolor, but alas nay.
but i do agree, they shouldve never taken the set out of the game in the first place. they couldve just left naxx in vanilla/classic and just boop new naxx in wotlk. but nooooooo.
and then to reintroduce it via the BMAH, and then AGAIN as this oooo secret naxx which turned into a gold sink. part of it was fun like collecting recipes or appearances and the mount while hoping for the tokens. but yeah that stuff is mad expensive for no reason really.
and whats crazier is the 2019 classic prog servers have the HD res textures now since cata iirc and all gear just looks so much better, T3 in mop classic looks so much better than retail. its actually crazy that retail doesnt have the HD res option yet still.
I would honestly like to see a T3 remaster, but also kind of what to see T1 just to see what a remastered Might set would look like. Other sets I would like to see remastered would be the Tier 0 and Tier 0.5 dungeon sets, along with the BC dungeon sets.
I’m only unhappy with the recolors of T2 uprez because I really wanted the purple one from BC to get that treatment; I didn’t need the reddish and black one. Which I’d have been more enthused about if the red had been RED! Like a bright, deep crimson. That would have looked amazing.

I’m not saying I don’t want to see T3, I just want T1 to be next. I was looking at the druid set and was thinking it looks good, just outdated. same with Felheart for warlock
You seen confused, it was not an experiment.
It’s common knowledge that overall T2 armor designs were and still are in many ways favorites and popular among players. The classic and eternal RP vibes fitting their classes. That’s the only reason they were chosen for a complete remake.
They are not going to redo every tier or every lowres armor from Vanilla/TBC. Unless it gets automated with Ai in the future to off the load of real work.
The way you frame this, just by the title alone would not make me want to do any of that if I was a dev.
I agree, but sadly both the T2 and Black temple set remasters had been flooded with “WOW RECYLCE, RESKIN, LAZY GARBAGE” etc
I hope blizz ignores these troglodytes, but sadly the toxicity is loud when it happens.
Cause I would love to see these old raids reimagined, especially for the most iconic sets.
Either for holiday events like anniversaries (Especially since this years anniversary was a basic recolour) we could get tier 1 remaster next year, then tier 3, then 4, etc each year a remaster of an old tier.
Or hell even every other year just so we dont run into an issue of “Oh we are now caught up”
Or in the case of black temple sets, if we are going there.
For example, imagine if the sunwell raid gave us remasters of the original sunwell raid tier sets? Would e pretty sick.
If my warlock got an updated Felheart set I’d probably cry
I think t5 has one of the best tier spreads deserving an update. Paladin/shaman/rogue would look a lot better with proper 3d assets / lighting effects.
T2 was way too cartoony to begin with, its fine how it turned out being updated but t1 would be the same result imo. I doubt they’d do t3 since its a goldsink for an inferior set, t6 was done in tomb.
I’d love a glow up for the Warrior T4 I think it was, the Gruul’s Lair - Warbringer. Loved that set upon its reveal.
EDIT: Actually, all of T4 needs a that glow up.
Love how people always take forum posts at face value rather than the informal that is.
I’d love to see all pre MoP (and beyond at some point) during timewalking. Make them like 8k time warp badges each set. That would actually make me happy to see timewalking roll around other than a passing fancy. Don’t have to release them all at once but maybe one tier a year. Price it in such a way it would take me a year to get them all and I would be all ready for the next year.
I would really like to see remastered versions of the vanilla PvP sets. Some of them are iconic and deserve a brand new version! The BFA sets sort of did this but only for a few of them and still they aren’t the same.
