Hello,
Survival is still a 3-button spec.
The new 12.1 talents are horrible and did nothing to change this:
Bombardier - Wildfire Bomb damage increased by 15%, critical strike chance increased by 15%, and critical damage dealt increased by 15%.
Compare this to the old existing talents:
Explosives expert - Wildfire Bomb and Boomstick damage increased by 5/10%.
Improved wildfire bomb - Wildfire Bomb deals 6/12% additional damage.
Blackrock munitions - Wildfire Bomb deals 20% increased critical strike damage.
Same with the other “big new” talent, what a joke it is:
Razor edge - Raptor Strike and Kill Command gain 10/20% increased critical strike chance and 10% increased critical damage dealt.
Isn’t that the same as the old talents?
Vulnerability - Raptor Strike and Boomstick deal 20% increased critical strike damage.
Flanker’s advantage - Kill Command grants an additional 5 Focus and its critical strike chance is increased by 10%.
Now let’s see the “new redesigned” Granade juggler, which is essentially a weaker version of the old talent Wildfire shells:
Granade juggler - Boomstick increases the cooldown recovery rate of Wildfire Bomb by 60% for 8 sec.
Wildfire shells - Damaging one or more enemies with your Boomstick reduces the cooldown of Wildfire Bomb by 3.0 sec.
So, this was the best you could come up with? You think these new talents are interesting? Like, there are literally 5 talent points in a row that increase the damage of wildfire bomb by x%…
And before somebody jumps in to say “these new talents are very strong”, I don’t care - I want fun interesting talents and good choices. You removed the only active ability you could take as Survival (granted, it was terrible and needed to be deleted), but replaced it with a bunch of “% crit” talents.
What a shame! Do you guys have no fantasy at all? The whole survival hunter tree is the same 5 talents in different words. You could have added a new button, a DoT, some new cool effect, an ability with a good animation, anything… But no, let’s do a bunch of crit % talents.
Whoever worked on this should be ashamed of themselves
