[The Sunreavers] This Thursday: Join us and enlist at Sun's Reach Anchorage!

Episode 2:
The Knights of the Oblong

The Sunreavers journeyed to confront the Order of the Oblong, a curious band of Kobolds who possessed a mysterious artifact believed to be tied to the fallen Violet Hold, a theory first raised by Samireda Maplewood. To earn the right to claim it, they undertook a series of eccentric trials.

They battled Potts, Slayer of Terralisks, succeeded in a trial of poetry with blind Morrice, and repaired a malfunctioning device presented by Spurr the Mechbold, thanks to Notai Everbreeze’s ingenuity. They endured bizarre concoctions from Scrabble, Drinker of Many Waters, and finally, outsmarted Clara Bickers, the Cinderbee Wisker, retrieving cinder sweets without injury.

With all trials overcome, Yatzie the Wayminder revealed the Oblong. Upon inspection, the Sunreavers confirmed it was a dangerous relic, misused by the Kobolds. Seleestra persuaded Yatzie to hand it over for safekeeping. Victorious, the Sunreavers departed, wary of what other relics the Kobolds may have hidden deeper within the Ringing Deeps.

Episode 3:

Descent into the Ringing Deeps

The Sunreavers answered an unexpected invitation from the kobold emissary, Yatzie, to visit the hidden stronghold of the so-called Knights of the Oblong deep beneath Khaz Algar. With the mysterious artifact known as the Oblong in their possession, the Sunreavers descended into the Ringing Deeps using a creaking, ancient elevator, following Yatzie’s promise to show them her people’s most treasured “shinies.”

Upon arriving, the group was led into a relic chamber cluttered with magical curios, scrapwork relics, and glowing artifacts collected over generations. It was in this room, filled with steam-hissing pipes and unstable magical resonance, that the Oblong began to surge unexpectedly. Protective wrappings tore apart, containment chains snapped, the Oblong hit the floor, and dark whispers filled the chamber. The door sealed magically behind them as the room began to collapse.

Commander Emberbrook, realizing the room could not be stabilized with magic by Samirelda, shifted tactics. Rather than wasting magical effort on wards, she ordered the Sunreavers to find a way to break the seal and escape. Dominate Dawnfire, the Illidari, sensed the magical resonance of glowing cogwheels in a crate in the relic room and recognized that they matched the runed indentations sealing the door.

Working against time, the group established a system: retrieve the cogwheels, heat them at the forge, cool them under a condensate pipe, and test them at the sealed door. Only a specific combination would unlock each rune. The process was dangerous, as mishandling a cogwheel could cause damage from magical instability, but the team worked efficiently under pressure. Eventually, all three locks were released, and the door burst open just as the final structural supports of the chamber gave way.

Yatzie, ever the optimist, said that there was an orc who gave her the Oblong and sshe felt as though he put a spell on her to MAKE her find the Sunreavers and bring them to the relic room. He must of known it would kill thr Sunreavers and the kobolds too, erasing any hint of being tracked. In order to find the orc, Yatzie said the orc was last seen in Hallowfall. So she offered a boat. A kobold-made boat by the river. The “boat” turned out to be a large, wobbly plank of wood tied loosely with rope.

The raft ride began peacefully enough. But the river turned against them. One by one, waterfalls forced the group to make split-second decisions and hard landings, each fall threatening to injure or drown them. Just when it seemed safe, the roar of a massive drop echoed ahead into Azj-kahet. Miraela gave the order to jump and as they all swam to safety, the Sunreavers watched the raft break apart and plummet over the edge. They were safe for now, but this river detour set them back wuite a bit. With the Oblong still in their care, they’d have to climb up to Hallowfall and try and track down this orc. This time…without Yatzie or the kobolds.

Drust Me On This…

The Sunreavers enjoyed a rare moment of rest at Dunelle’s Kindness, a small inn nestled in Hallowfall. Their peace was short-lived when Nathanyel Miller, a gruff Arathi, handed them a cryptic poem promising clues about the orc they pursued—and possibly a Dalaran relic. Led by riddles, and aided by a mysterious raven, the Sunreavers ventured north into a swamp of oversized flowers, where they were ambushed by spore-flinging Fungarians. After fending off the mushroom-folk, Lady Daysorrow discovered the next clue nestled in a basket… in the form of a black cat named Penny.

Following another raven’s message, the company headed west to a lagoon cave, where they met the odd pair of Kobyss the Gilblin and his assistant. After a raucous drinking contest, Commander Mira and Guardian Evencrown won the next piece of the puzzle: a pointed witch’s hat. A third raven led them beneath the star of Beledar, where a Nerubian presented several magical sticks. After a few failed attempts, Evencrown selected the correct one, triggering a hidden mechanism that lowered a web-wrapped cage containing a Drustvar witch. After freeing her and returning her belongings—cat, hat, and wand—she gave the Sunreavers a linen-wrapped item, then took flight on a raven.

As Commander Mira reached for the item, she collapsed, her soul trapped inside what was later identified as a primitive soulstone. With Lady Daysorrow refusing to explain her connection to the relic, tensions escalated. While Evencrown and Ashrendir confronted her, Initiate Notai investigated the artifact and ultimately restored Mira’s soul at the inn in Mereldar. Though the relic and the orc eluded them, the Sunreavers left the strange scavenger hunt with a deeper mystery: Lirrael Daysorrow knows more than she’s letting on.

Threads of Nightglass

The Sunreavers deployed into Coldshadow Cave following reports of a missing Sunreaver team and rising void activity near Light’s Blooming. Upon arrival, the team encountered intense shadow magic and psychic interference. The cave wws toyijg with their minds. Commander Miraela Emberbrook, while investigating a pool of corrupted water due to a call from the Void, fell under its influence and was mind controlled, leading to her attacking her own unit. The Sunreavers were forced to defend themselves while enduring devastating magical assaults. Periodic resistance checks pulled members to the Void’s side to join her against each other, escalating the conflict. Arathi Stalwart Elira Cinderglass, who was lended to aid the Sunreavers, maintained a protective Flamelight Aura that shielded the team and ultimately enabled their survival.

Meanwhile, Lirrael recieved a call from the Void if an artifact of enormous power; the Nightglass Mirror. It was hidden in a side tunne in the cave and the moment it was removed from its location, it severed the Void’s influence over Miraela and the others. The team then recovered unconscious Sunreavers from the team they came to rescue from the same pool that trapped Miraela, and exfiltrated back to the academy via airship. Commander Miraela later issued an apology, expressing deep remorse for her actions under the Void’s control.

It was revealed back in Mereldar that Lirrael was planning on keeping her recent discovery with the mirror a secret, but Guardian Raith Vepres ousted her and told the group it is what Lorrael found and its obtainment probably aided in the breaking of the Void’s control. Miraela pressed Lirrael about it and there wasnt much told about it, other than the mirror allowed her to see something she didnt like. There will be more to come about this mirror and when it does, the Sunreavers will be ready.

Episode 6:
The Flame and Chain

The Sunreavers gathered once more in Mereldar with Commander Emberbrook, Lirrael, Raith, Samirelda, and Vasu’thas all around a table talking about the Nightglass Mirror. After some threats made by Miraela Emberbrook towards Lirrael for witholding information, she was instructed to look into the mirror and try and find the location of the orc in question that the Sunreavers were searching for this entire time. The Nightglass Mirror revealed that the orc warlock was creating a summoning ritual just south of Mereldar. It was time to seek him out and unfortunately, nearly handing the Nightlgass Mirror to him in the process.

Awaiting them to the south was Grur Shadowseeker. He stood beside a writhing, unstable void portal that was constructed from the proximity of the relics and as the Sunreavers arrived, it also surged from the presence of the Nightglass Mirror. Grur made a demand of the Sunreavers. He wished to possess the Nightglass Mirror to complete the summoning ritual. With the portal complete, he claimed, he could sever his demonic pact, and perhaps plead for Lirrael’s release from hers as well. The offer reeked of desperation, and beneath it all, everyone knew it was a bold faced lie. If he obtained the Mirror, the portal would stabilize, and Mereldar itself would be sacrificed in a grand exchange of souls. Their deaths would be the key to his freedom.

Faced with that ultimatum, Lirrael made her decision. She shattered the Mirror, choosing the lives of many over the uncertain promise of her own salvation. The void portal violently collapsed inward on itself with a deafening magical implosion. The danger had passed…for now.

As Grur was thrown back by the blast, something fell from his forearm and landed at Lirrael’s feet. It was the Chain of Malzharion; one of the relics necessary to complete the ritual. He did not stay to reclaim it from the Sunreavers due to being outnumbered. Instead, he delivered a final warning that he would return to the place where his search began; the ruins of Dalaran above ground in Khaz Algar.

In the quiet that followed, Miraela pressed Lirrael for the truth. And she gave it. The demon that holds sway over her is Riz’sa, a cruel and vain mistress who commands a host of Shivarra. Lirrael confessed that long ago, she made a pact in the pursuit of power and beauty, seeking luxury to reclaim her crumbling royal house. It was a far cry from Grur’s desire for destruction.

Now, with the Mirror destroyed and the Chain in their hands, the Sunreavers know one thing. Grur will try again. The chase leads next to Dalaran’s broken bones, where relics still stir that could replace both the Nightglass Mirror and that of the Chain of Malzharion.

Episode 7:
Relicfall (finale)

The Sunreavers assembled at Tranquil Strand, where Axiann briefed them on the dire situation. The ruins of Dalaran bled unstable leyline energy into the Voidrift that Grur Shadowseeker sought to stabilize. With the aid of Kirin Tor Guardians, the Sunreavers’ first objective was to breach the leyline surges and destroy the conduits feeding power into the rift. As they fought through chaotic arcane storms, the Kirin Tor worked to install ley anchors and activate a mana crystal to assist in the battle. After a grueling effort, the conduits were destroyed, and the surges began to wane.

With the battlefield stabilizing, Grur revealed himself beside the flickering Voidrift. The Sunreavers launched into combat, holding Grur at bay while Lirrael focused the Chain of Malzharion into the rift. Grur unleashed a barrage of dark magic (tendrils of Voidlash, searing Soulflare Lances, and spectral Chains of Malice) all in an effort to buy himself time. Through relentless attacks and unwavering support, the Sunreavers defended and supported Lirrael as she severed her pact with Riz’sa, unraveling the demon’s hold over her and shattering Grur’s ritual in the process.

With Grur spent and the Chain’s power redirected, the Voidrift began to collapse. Riz’sa, enraged by the loss of her pawn, lashed out in fury, vowing vengeance upon Lirrael and the Sunreavers. United with the Kirin Tor, the Sunreavers delivered the final blow, sealing the rift and preventing the demon’s entry into Azeroth. As the arcane storms subsided, the battlefield fell silent, leaving the Sunreavers victorious, but with the bitter promise of Riz’sa’s retribution still echoing in the air.

Briefings, Commendations and Promotions in Mereldar

The Sunreavers gathered in Mereldar for a formal meeting and ceremony. Magister Axiann Sungazer opened with a speech recounting their recent campaign to recover powerful relics from the ruins of Dalaran. He described the challenges they overcame, from the treacherous tides of Oztan Isle to the depths of the Ringing Deeps, culminating in the confrontation with Grur Shadowseeker and the securing of the Chain of Malzharion. The campaign, he noted, had tested their resolve and proven their unity.

The Magister then turned to Commander Emerbrook to recognize those who had distinguished themselves in service. A new initiate, Bloodmoon, was formally welcomed into the ranks of the Sunreavers, marking the beginning of their journey. Commendations were presented to members for their steadfast dedication, and Guardian Samirelda Maplewood was promoted in recognition of her exceptional service, skill, and commitment to the cause. The square echoed with applause, pride evident in every face.

Looking ahead, Sungazer spoke of the opportunity before them in Mereldar. He explained that the coming days would be dedicated to drilling and training alongside the disciplined Arathi Lamplighters. Here, the Sunreavers would refine their tactics, sharpen their skills, and prepare for the challenges yet to come. Their victories had brought them this far, but discipline and unity would carry them into the future.

Sunreaver vs Flame’s Radiance

(A competitive group of three trials in a best of three that prove who are the tougher faction in Mereldar)

The highly anticipated competition between the Sunreavers and the Flame’s Radiance concluded with the Sunreavers claiming overall victory, winning the best-of-three series 2–1. The day was marked by sharp rivalry, tense exchanges between commanders, and the roar of a Mereldar crowd eager to see their champions tested.

The event opened with the Trial of Wits, pitting Stalwart Grimmon of the Flame’s Radiance against the Sunreaver warlock, Notai. The challenge consisted of three stations requiring mental precision and magical skill, each designed to test focus and problem-solving under pressure. While the Sunreavers showed impressive speed and adaptability, Grimmon’s calm efficiency allowed him to edge ahead, disarm the Light grenade and rearrange runes, stablize an astral focus just before Notai. This gave the Flame’s Radiance the first point of the day and an early lead. That overconfidence was their downfall.

The Trial of Speed followed, with Raith Vepres volunteering to run against the Flame’s Radiance stalwart sprinter, Maxine. The course was a demanding lap around Mereldar, littered with obstacles and hazards designed to slow the competitors. Before the race, Raith received a speed-enhancing potion from Branthor, an Arathi shopkeeper who supported the Sunreavers, thanks to the diplomacy acts of Seleestra Runecrown. Fueled by the potion’s effects, Raith surged ahead, easily dodging every obstacle and leaving the Flame’s Radiance runner in the dust. This decisive win tied the score at 1–1, setting the stage for a dramatic final trial.

The Trial of Combat was meant to be a clash between the finest warriors of each faction, with High Templar Walynd Frundhar intending to field Ironmaul Korrath, their most feared combatant. However, due to Haakon’s earlier drinking challenge, Korrath was in no condition to fight. Left with no choice, the Flame’s Radiance put forth a young apprentice named Banx. Miraela Emberbrook, determined to secure victory, selected Dominate Dawnfire as her champion. Though not a Sunreaver himself, the Illidari more than lived up to his name, overwhelming Banx in decisive fashion and securing the final point for the Sunreavers.

The Sunreavers emerged victorious 2–1, earning bragging rights over the Flame’s Radiance. While much of the crowd cheered at the outcome, there were a few dissenting voices among the largely Arathi audience. Still, the event was seen as a great contest, fostering camaraderie between the two factions, at least until the next challenge is called.

Dragonhawk Race through Hallowfall!

Upon the Magister’s orders, the Sunreavers reported to Sunreaver Skymaster Jadzia Summerflame, who waited for them on the ramparts of Mereldar with a dozen dragonhawks saddled and at the ready. She explained that they would be competing in a race through the skies of Hallowfall. Sunreavers with a bonded dragonhawk would ride them, while others would choose from a few spare as-of-yet un-bonded 'hawks.

Into the sky they leaped, following Summerflame through the vast caverns at breakneck speeds. The skymaster lead the Sunreavers in tight turns and between obstacles, through rapid dives and challenging ascents, and even attempted to fluster the flock through a series of close calls, all to test their skills in speed, agility and stamina. While Sentinel Sunmourne was consistently in the lead and landed in first place, the other positions were the object of much competition, with Vasu’thas ultimately finishing in 2nd place, and Baeldren and Seleestra landing at the same time and tying for third.

As the 'hawks were rewarded by being allow to go forth and hunt, the group debriefed on the lessons learned and the importance of maintaining the strong bond between 'hawk and rider. The training would continue and this promises to be the first of many such races in the future.

Looking Ahead to Midnight...

As Midnight approaches and new or returning role-players seek a home, I thought I would share the Sunreavers’ plans for the next expansion.

Fall 2025
The Sunreavers are currently in Hallowfall, in between campaigns. Now is a fantastic time for blood elf characters still in Khaz Algar to meet with us and enlist.

In a few weeks, our next campaign will bring us to K’aresh. We want our members to experience every aspect of this current expansion and create lasting memories of our characters involvement in every event that follows the destruction of our home (Dalaran) and attempts to stop the one responsible.

We will possibly follow this up with a small mini-campaign as we attempt to retrieve a veteran guild member who has been trapped outside of time for years.

November/December

After an arduous year, the Sunreavers will be returning ‘home’ to Quel’Thalas. In anticipation of the arrival of neighborhoods, we plan to receive a lot of reclaimed land in Eversong and help establish a new village (charter neighborhood). Details to be determined and shared once we know more…

Midnight

The Sunreavers as a guild plan to be front and center, a prominent presence and force, during the Midnight expansion. We intend to experience the biggest moments as role-players. Through a structured campaign, we will take the time to fully enjoy and appreciate each moment of the campaign’s major beats, pushing our way forward until we are ready to join the forces that will March on Quel’Danas.

We intend to establish a Guild Hall in Silvermoon City and act as allies and intermediaries for the Alliance allies that will be welcomed into our city and into the forces fighting against Xal’atath.

Three spheres of roleplay:
Neighborhood, City and Guild

The Sunreavers plan to lead and host role-play on three different fronts throughout Midnight and beyond.

Neighborhood:
We intend to engage and plan community role-play in and around our neighborhood to make it feel alive. We hope to have a dedicated tavern space, run by innkeeper and staff, for regular tavern nights, as well as shops and businesses for townsfolk to peruse. We also plan to create our own town festivals and events to celebrate the passing seasons, together and with our friends and allies.

Silvermoon City/Eversong Woods
The Sunreavers aim to become a part of the fabric of Silvermoon City and the Eversong Woods. We shall be present for community events when we can and intent to host or co-host public events as well.

Guild Campaigns and Events
The Sunreavers will continue to be guardians not only of Quel’Thalas but also of Azeroth as continuing members of the Kirin Tor. We will continue to create and engage in multi-week story campaigns where we get to do what we do best.

And beyond Midnight, when the battle is taken to Northrend, we intend to follow with some characters, while leaving others behind to continue what we begun in Quel’Thalas.

Who should join?

If you have a Thalassian/Sin’dorei character who might enjoy being an active community member/citizen, or a committed guardian of their people against the foes that threaten our world, comment below or reach out to Axiann (in-game or on discord) and inquire about enlistment!

We can’t wait to experience the thrilling Midnight expansion with you all!

I was wondering if you accept other characters who may hold the title of Magister within the Silvermoon Magisterium as long as they start as initiates within the Sunreavers organization?

Hello! What days and times do you all tend to run campaign events?

Hi there! We’re open to it, so long as one understands the Magister rank would not be used generally when adressing the character, as the Sunreavers use the Kirin Tor ranking system. Within our guild, ‘Magister’ refers to the Guild/Unit leader.

After initiate would come Guardian rank.

Hi there,

Our main campaign night is Sunday, and our secondary campaign night (most weeks) is on Thursday. We also try to have other events, less focused on the campaign, on many Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Perfect sent in an app!

The War Within

Chapter 9:

The Veil of Glass

Episode 1: Through the Veil

The Sunreavers assembled in Dornogal for a full briefing where Axiann explained K’Aresh, the threat of Dimensius, and why Azeroth’s champions had already crossed the veil. Their charge was clear, secure Tazavesh, support broker allies, and protect the lines that would let the main offensive continue. With preparations made, they stepped through the portal and entered the fractured market city.

Their arrival was met by a sudden Shadowguard assault that unfolded in three hard phases, with one group cutting down raiders in the streets while another worked to channel power into the portal crystals to keep the way home intact. The defense held through wave after wave, yet at the end of the fight the Shadowguard struck the pylons and shattered the crystal portals, closing the route back to Azeroth despite the Sunreavers’ efforts.

Reeling from that setback, the Sunreavers were forced to act again as a voidrift tore open above the market. They closed the breach under pressure, battling two voidspawn while reactivating the city wards, and succeeded as the wards flared and the rift collapsed. With Tazavesh steadied for now, the next task stood plainly before them, work must begin on restoring the portal to Azeroth.

Chapter 9:

The Veil of Glass

Episode 2: Echoes of Glass

The Sunreavers began the operation within the city of Tazavesh, where the city walls shook with distant explosions and the glowing silhouette of Eco-Dome Primus shuddering under assault. Azeroth’s champions were nowhere to be found, and the Tazavesh security forces issued orders for a full retreat, drawing their citizens back into the city. Yet the Sunreavers knew retreat was not an option. If Primus fell, the battle would come to Tazavesh itself eventually. Refusing to let the defenders of the dome perish, they seized a group of floating Broker vessels and set out across the plains. As they soared toward the embattled dome, the Sunreavers jettisoned cargo from their stolen craft, smashing Shadowguard raiders and beasts that prowled below, buying precious moments of reprieve for the besieged defenders who overextended.

Within Eco-Dome Primus, they were met by Engineer Om’loof, who laid out a desperate plan to prevent collapse of the wards: bring the outer cannons back online, evacuate civilians to the attached Atrium, and secure the northeast entrance where a Leviathan Sentinel was tearing through the defenders. Samirelda threw herself into the console systems, restoring the cannons to devastating effect, while Seleestra rallied civilians and guided them to the Atrium’s safety. Outside, Miraela and Oraine fought through waves of Shadowguard, dragging the wounded back from the battlefield under fire, even as the Leviathan leveled its void cannon against them.

When the Reshii Ribbon activated, its energy surged into the dome, strengthening the shields with a brilliant violet glow just as Miraela and one final defender Oraine saved ran inside, but it sealed Oraine outside. She refused to yield, facing the Leviathan’s onslaught so the final defenders could reach safety. With the moment slipping away, Seleestra tore open a breach in the new wards, allowing Oraine to stagger inside before the barrier resealed. From there, Samirelda’s cannons unleashed their full fury, cutting down Shadowguard forces and driving the Leviathan into retreat. Eco-Dome Primus stood defended, its people safe, its wards stronger, and the Sunreavers’ resolve proven in the heart of K’aresh.

Episode 3: The Dune Vault

The Sunreavers gathered in Eco-Dome Primus, where Axiann reminded them of their victories but also of the reality that the portal to Azeroth remained shattered. Stranded without reinforcements, they set their mission: pursue the Shadowguard raiders, recover the stolen reliquaries, and prevent the unlocking of a vault that could endanger every dome in K’Aresh.

Crossing the dunes, the Sunreavers endured void-traps and ambushes before reaching a dismantled Shadowguard camp. Clues there revealed the raiders’ goal: an ancient reliquary hidden beneath the sands. Following the trail, the Sunreavers uncovered the vault itself, long cloaked from sight.

Inside, sentinel constructs turned their fury upon the Sunreavers, unleashing devastating arcane assaults. The defenders pressed on, freeing captive brokers, destroying the constructs’ arcane controls, and with Maeve’s aid, securing victory. A hovering relic then flared with power, violet ribbons weaving into Sunreaver talismans and renewing their strength. With the constructs destroyed, the brokers rescued, and the relic in hand, the Sunreavers returned to Eco-Dome Primus, their resolve hardened and the mystery of the ribbons only beginning to unfold.

Episode 4: Mirage of Dalaran

The Sunreavers assembled in K’Aresh after receiving a desperate call for aid from the Wastelands. Axiann spoke of survivors under Shadowguard attack who might prove valuable allies if they could be saved, urging the Sunreavers to act quickly. Mounting broker disks, the company flew across the broken skies until they reached the chaos of battle. Wastelander nomads fought to hold their ground, Shadowguard pressed hard against them, and at the center of the conflict a void sorcerer unleashed his magic. With a single gesture he drowned the Sunreavers in a burning vision of Dalaran, aflame and collapsing under the weight of the Void.

Inside the illusion, the Sunreavers fought desperately against twisted Shadowguard phantoms, illusions of void-tainted Kirin Tor, and the collapse of illusory spires. Anchor runes were discovered and destroyed, weakening the spell, while the terrified Wastelanders sought shelter behind the Sunreavers’ lines. The situation worsened when illusory Nerubians appeared, weaving webs and terrorizing survivors, but the Sunreavers cut them down and rallied the nomads to safety. Through combat, coordination, and sheer will, the defenders steadily broke the bindings of the spell that surrounded them.

At last the company confronted the void sorcerer himself in the heart of the illusion, his staff blazing with corrupted runes as he sought to bury them in despair. The Sunreavers’ final strike shattered both the sorcerer’s staff and the mirage itself, returning the battlefield to the Wastelands of K’Aresh. With the Shadowguard scattered and their illusions broken, the rescued nomads offered thanks and pledged their guidance, promising to aid the Sunreavers as they pressed closer toward the secrets of the Vault.
