The story should just be rebooted from Classic

Despite the topic of this thread, for players that honestly like the Horde in Classic that’s all the Horde will ever have in Classic.

I don’t find this point particularly interesting. If they add an expansion to Classic, with whatever changes would be - especially if anything was changed or added that I personally would find more enjoyable than what Classic is - then it would no longer be Classic, and the people who do like Classic for the sake of Classic won’t want it.

People at over reacting to to how big classic been. Yes it a big hit but how many people will really play long term. Classic is a sandbox overall it not but I personally like a over arching story.

That being said classic will be there for the players that want to play only that. But a restart from classic is a no go while they could fix some mistakes and no blood elves joining the horde was not a mistake and does make sense.

They could take elements from classic like talent points maybe even let us go to class trainers again to learn something without the many many levels in classic of the same spell.

I like an overarching story too. What I don’t like is an overarching series of events, which current WoW is.

Just look at BfA so far. It began with the War of the Thorns, which sparked the faction conflict and the Battle of Lordaeron. Then almost like both sides calling a time out, they went on side adventures to gather allies and do Uldir. Then the faction conflicted continued with the Battle of Dazar’alor. And when tensions were at an all time high, things paused again because Azshara popped up and presented a new threat.

This isn’t how a story should be told, where the primary plot so far just gets derailed to change things up.

In Classic, if you look at the raids, everything is resolved to a certain degree, there isn’t a “Stop what you are doing, do this now!” moment. Which makes things seem even more unfocused.

I never said the current sir it was any good I just prefer overarching storylines. Now to be fair classic a lot of people forget that cause the player characters were nobody’s so us being of any importance to our factions actually makes sense for a story point of view.

Really they should have Waited and then had the old gods make a move at the very end of the expansion after the horde and alliance had finished kicking each other teeth down the other throat.

at the end of the day blizzard has dug themselves such a hole I don’t think they can never fix it because no matter what they claim this is basically than mists of pandaria 2.0

Not necessarily an alternate universe per se (though I definitely wouldn’t discard that idea) but “side” expansions that can go in-depth on things that were originally ignored or abandoned due to time or resource constraints. Especially if it helps give context to events happening on Live.

No. Ret is trash in classic. No.

You don’t play any other spec? What if they added bc or wrath servers?

How would playing any other spec make Ret (or Feral) better in Classic?

I’m for Wrath servers. If anything, that’s all the more reason to not want Classic to lead somewhere else.

Better idea, play Final Fantasy XIV for a good story MMO and play WoW whenever their “gameplay first” creed actually means anything because even the gameplay is utter fail unless you grind extremely hard to get stuff unlocked to finally enjoy anything.

Anyway, it’s weird to see such support for massive whopping story retcons because your enjoyment hinged on the way a single character was going to be written and now that she’s written in a way you don’t like, you suddenly call for them to make changes you would have normally laughed at other people for doing.

But sure, I don’t mind it either if that’s what you want, but it is kind of weird in hindsight.

I was forced to play heal bot to advance in vanilla and tbc while my heart was full ret. It has always been ret. If i wanted to see end game content it had to be heal bot.

Any ret design from wotlk on up is acceptable. Reverting ret to classic and tbc style can go …well i wouldnt want to get banned again for lanague. Hell you can keep classic and ill play on it if they give pally any playstyle from wotlk to bfa.

Unlike other newer ret paladins who complains about this minor thing as balance or not cutting edge.

They never play classic and tbc ret and thus are ungrateful.

I am not. So no. Never to make classic the main. I will not be pigeonholed again.

It doesn’t. Maybe the person enjoys the class enough to try another role.

Apparently not.

No thank you.

I hate Classic. Not at the time mind you, but by comparison…in the same way I used to love Everquest, but hated EQ once I started playing WoW.

I liked the vast majority of the mechanical changes that have been made to WoW over the years and have no interest in, and in fact refuse to, go back to playing the game that way.

If you just mean lorewise, I’m afraid that’s not going back far enough, as they’d already screwed up the story by Classic by not putting the NEs in the Horde.

I suppose…if you consider going around in a circle twice to be an arc.
