The state of M+ is pathetic

Congratulations Blizzard but this game is dead. I have been trying to find a group for 7 days and cannot get an invite to save my life after waiting in queue for an unspeakable amount of hours.

This is super unfortunate. I have been subbed for 5 years and refuse to sub again when it runs out in 15 days because I want to so badly play the game and can’t.

My issue is caster mobs are ruining the experience, interrupt missed? some1 is dead run is gone. It is a very boring cycle, we don’t even get to enjoy the instance run, its sometimes over at 1st pull if anyone is caught slacking.

Big pulls, big cds larger problem optimization is more fun compared to queueing for interrupts. As is, it really is not fun, it is hard to coordinate in pugs. It needs a redesign.

Entire pve feels like its catering to 1% of playerbase. This needs to change or there won’t be anyone left.

you can’t get an invite at all? For 12’s or for higher keys? If so, how high?

Do you have appropriate IO and ilvl for the key levels you’re applying to?

If this is your experience, then you’re the 1%, because in +12s and lower this isn’t a case at all.

There are way more problems with Dungeons than most people want to admit. There are reasonable ways to fix it but I dont think anyone would be interested in fixing it.

Raider io ruin3e mythic plus for me. I’d rather raid or do unranked stuff. I can’t keep up with the no-lifers and their high scores anymore. There needs to be an unranked mode for mythic plus that’s less competitive and still gives good rewards. I agree with op that mythic plus is pathetic.

I am 3168 with resil 13, 5/8 14s timed, and one 15 timed. I am applying to 14s so I can work on my resil 14 but after getting frustrated I try applying to 12s and even 10s for vault keys and don’t get invited to those. I do believe most of it is because I’m an spriest.

Yes. I would say I’m applying to my ilvl. I’m 3168 and have resil 13, working on my resil 14… or trying to at least. But truthfully I don’t even get invited to 12s or 10s for vault keys. I haven’t been able to fill vault due to no invites last several weeks.

They should really create a system where everyone has a key and not just the gatekeepers who won’t invite you. Then at least you could list that key and invite other people who just want to fill their vault or work on resil 14. It’s too bad there’s nothing you can do except wait for an invite…

It is surprising to me that you would not get invited to atleast 12’s. That being said, if you are resil 13 you could just use your own key especially at 13. I can’t imagine it would be difficult to consistently time those, get vault credit, and a shot at a potential 14 you would need for resil, but I’m sorry you aren’t having a good experience.

If you are good at spriest it shouldn’t matter what class you play at that level because in my experience most people just want to play with good people/players. I’d recommend being more social and gradually making a network of likeminded friends you encounter in the LFG to play with in the future!

guess it’s back to raiding for you.

I shouldn’t fall for the bait, but trying to fill your own key is awful at this stage of the season.

The reality is, that if you want to play a dps class and get invites to keys you need, it sucks unless you can in some way make yourself stand out from the other sea of applicants.

I’ve been applying for keys since 2004, I’ve been subbed for 40 years and if I don’t get a invite RIGHT NOW, I’m unsubbing. :dracthyr_hehe_animated:

I started a fury warrior 2 weeks ago and have used my own key every day it is currently 3300. If It goes well I ask the other 4 players if they want to hang for the next one and if someone bows out I just replace that guy and keep going. It’s been working well so far.

Wonderful! It’s great that you have had that experience.

It also completely nullifies the argument that:

It’s not bait to point out the fact that no one has to be hostage to invites when they can actively list their own key. Yes, I’m sure it may still be hard as a dps player, but that’s the price of playing the dime-a-dozen role, and it’s probably still easier than sitting there not getting invited to other people’s keys. Yes, it’s more work, and yes it would be more convenient to just apply and get invited and not have to worry about any of the stuff that goes along with making the group. Do you want to play or not?

There’s more WTS spammers in LFG than actual groups at this point, it’s pretty funny

It really doesn’t nullify it. It was one example. I could also hold up my personal example of trying to time all 15s as a survival hunter this season, which took *weeks* of no invites and having my own key bricked over and over until resil. Sometimes it was my own mistakes that caused the keys to brick, but generally not. I was absolutely appalled this season at the number of lust classes I brought to my key so that I could run a defensive pet who didn’t bother to press their lust button.

The fact remains that if you don’t want to run your own key for whatever reason, getting into groups as a dps is pretty tedious, unless you overqualify. I’m not arguing that it’s the price one pays for playing a dps class, or that there are workarounds at times, simply acknowledging the OP’s point that it can really suck.

Exactly, it was one example. Just like any of the anecdotes about it being awful. Your experience was tedious, his wasn’t. The two statements cancel out and the conclusion we’re left with is that it may or may not be tedious to list your own key.

I expect as bad as it may be, it will still be better than applying to key after key after key for hours and not being invited. And after enduring some of the people that can be gotten by listing, the OP may develop some appreciation for why it is so difficult to get an invite.
