The /spit dilemma regarding store mounts

People say a lot of things online.

Exactly…it’s online.

Im talking from the devs perspective, they add emotes each having an intended use, they cant control how players will actually use them

A clear example is the Soldier 76 emote from OW, i believe it was called Push ups but i cant clearly remember it

Words still can hurt.

Well you can choose to ignore them, just like I’m going to do with this thread.
Have a nice day.

Some players are rude and others aren’t. Isolated spitting incidents aren’t a problem and part of the ingame emote. The motive can be anything, so we can let that rest.

Absolutely. It is a dilemma because followers have to choose between 2 specific actions - taking part in a negative campaign to appease their role model or not taking part in a harassment campaign and feeling like they have not followed their role model. Therefore, it qualifies as a dilemma for the follower, whether to be a spitter or not.

Killing players ingame isn’t bad. But targeting a specific player repeatedly just to harass them and egging on an entire channel of 20k viewers to do so may be construed as harassment. Intent is clear here, which is targeted harassment.

It really isn’t. Spitting on store mount buyers was not a thing until that streamer specifically started the trend. He continued the trend this week too, specifically stating that he wanted his followers to keep spitting at store mount buyers.

Lets be real here, theres a lot of people that go crazy about the smallest things i already gave a few examples.

People have grown way too sensitive recently, getting angry at small things for no reason or just ridiculous reasons.

Hell theres that thing about Forky from Toys Story apparently promoting Transgender

It’s not the words or actions of others that typically offend me. It’s having to watch another member of the same species act like they’re intentionally trying to prove Darwin wrong.

Ah I see, well if that’s the case Blizzard can change what emotes say or remove them they have before with /whistle.

Well, this is awkward because Darwin was actually wrong.

Case in point.

Sure go ahead if it actually becomes a problem.

Same, this thread is dumb and I regret clicking on it.

Taking a stand against a viral spitting campaign by the most popular wow streamer is now being too sensitive? Being a positive person and helpful to the community is now the same as being angry about non-issues?

Looks at thread and every thread about this

The real issue is the streamer’s crusade here, not so much the emote per se. That should be nipped in the bud ASAP.

Wells lets take into consideration that a lot of people hate baldy (for whatever reason)

Well gee I wonder why…

I mean im seeing people here that dont give a one about being spit, and even make fun of it.
You’re quite sensitive if you got hurt because someone spit on you in a game
