He can take control by not egging on his rabid fan base to do it in the first place. He made the choice so there is no reason in trying to defend something he did.
He does it because he knows exactly what his fans will do. He loves giving them what they want so they in turn give him what he wants… which is money and attention.
Even bad attention is a good thing in a streamers book.
Regardless of the effect on the game, any extra income gained is a good thing for wow as it shows it’s still profitable. When games get to a point that the profit no longer matters it becomes hero of the storms/d3 level of bad.
Well it’s a teen game, which is still considered somewhat a kid. However, I do agree that being spit on in a game is no big deal. I am against the mob spam mentality though and would consider that harassment as it’s interfering with your normal chat functions.
If I worked for the company I’d be a little peeved at a big streamer telling their rabid fans to go out and harass paying customers because they bought things from the shop.
Be like having a mob outside a grocery store harassing your paying customers while on your property as they head to their vehicle. Personally, I believe mob harassment for spending your own money the way you want should be punishable with suspensions.
But I don’t work for them and I imagine it’s pretty low on the list of things they care about. I however, would view it differently if people who decided to throw some extra disposable income into my business was being harassed by others who spend less simply because some sad excuse for a man told them to.
I agree with you. I just don’t care that much. I can’t be bothered to care about this fella’s “power” whilst living in the real world with real issues. I play WoW to relax and post here during downtime. I don’t need another crusade currently, but you have my support.
Yeah I conflated the Tali thing with the store mount spitting issue in a bid to talk about responsibility and community positivity in general. I understand if the issues together were confusing.

The game is build around in a way that encourages the use of them, theres and XP boost and such, and considering how awful is to solo the game, said things are almost a must
