My friends dont get mad I cant run stuff with them when I am in a raid already, are your friends so selfish they need you to stop your goals to help them? The limited time you have to play and the content you choose to do as many people have already said here, are a YOU problem. Nothing should be changed here.

In which case he’s just NEVER spending time with his friends, and thus his friends have no value to him, and they’re not really his friends, so he doesn’t actually have friends, and thus there’s no issue, right?

You push as hard as you want and get rewarded accordingly.
You would tell your friend, I would do 1 more before I come to you at +2.
If this is the scenario
14 (1st), 13, 11, 11 (4th),
Wait for me to finish 5 more games before I come to you for +2. And what if you didnt show up? LOL. That’s how to treat a friend on WoW 2021.
And let’s say you’re in a guild with a theme “Help A Friend”. Nope, it’s gonna be, “Wait til I finish 10x M+ before I help”.
That’s what I’ve been saying. If hanging out with someone is worth less to you than a vault choice (that you might not even take!) Then you’re not friends.
Sorry, in the real world (in game and out) you have a limited amount of time. Your entire life is deciding where to spend that time. Do I spend more time working on my career, or do I go out with my buds? In this case the stakes are even smaller. Do I do yet another run for a gamble at an item for a game, or do I spend that time having fun with a friend? Do I sacrifice a couple vault choices so I can gear my friend up and this is no longer an issue? Either way, its a time management decision only he can make and the system should not be changed to accommodate him.
Yes, I would, and often do, tell my friends (and guild mates) “I am gonna finish this thing up before I can play with you”. Literally all the time. Its in fact an incredibly normal thing people say.
It annoys you but if you don’t do the 2 you’re still not getting a good reward. Do the key you get the chest it’s very simple.
Sure. If you have unlimited time to play or are willing to sacrifice your own progress.
From your responses it sounds like you help no one who is not in a position to directly help you back, and are opposed to other people helping their friends without making a major sacrifice of their own progress.
Now I don’t think that’s good for the game. But clearly you do.
The guy in question has time to run 10 m+ but it’s that last 40 minutes he’s salty about.

Hey, here’s a sample:
Let’s say I did:
+14, +13,+13
Then you came help your friend/s. Then you do series of +3 and +2’s and infinite +3s.
Like these:
+14, +13,+13, +2, +3, +3, +2, +3, +2, and +3 and infinite +3s.
Your vault options would be from +14, +3 and +3. ROFL.
So instead, you tell your friends “SORRY I AM BUSY”. You do this instead:
+14, +13,+13, +14, +13,+13, +14, +13,+13, +14. You get +14, +14 and +14 on your vault. Only after the 10 runs you could help your friends. Is that the theme of the new M+? Prioritize your Vault before you help?
You don’t have to wait to finish anything what are you even talking about. You were either going to run 10 high keys and help your friend or 10 high keys and not help your friend. The order doesn’t matter.
I agree that 10 is too many, once we are getting 1 useful drop a week from the vault, being essentially forced to run so many M+ just to have a (roughly) 1 in 20 chance to get a upgrade is stupid. It really needs to be just 3 runs to get 3 vault options.
I expect that the reason they went with 10 is to make it match the raid boss count, why they felt this needed to be done or is somehow fair I couldn’t guess.

You are misunderstanding how the vault picks rewards it takes your highest and orders them by highest key to lowest key. Then it takes that list and gives a reward ranked by the highest the 4th highest and 10th highest key.
The order you do the keys in doesn’t matter.
