this season has been a slog.

i like a challenge, and I am one of those people (and there are a lot of these people in wow) who isn’t happy unless he is a bit frustrated at the same time.

but this season…

well after getting everything except for that accursed arak at 6 (arak at 5), i was at 1964.

i ran a 7 mists with a really good group. we missed a 2* by less than 15 seconds or so and I moved to 1998 sigh

so then I was, like, “okay, get arak to 6 and you’ll be fine.”

arak starts out great. everything up to the second boss goes well. then people keep dying in the circle. we wipe once, im last guy standing. we go a second time, i am the last guy standing and finish off the last <5% thank goodness.

but we get to the last boss at 99% somehow. same route I have done. not sure.

last boss, we wipe first try. we go again. it is down to me and a shadow priest. we kill the boss.

I am super frustrated and run up a side ramp thinking I could take one of those buggers down for the last 1%. nope. died.

we regouped and got the final thing down.

zero score for completion. I still need 2 points.

I get a sv7.

a havoc DH says we have the burst to do the three pack first pull. (i posted about that one a while ago) I make sure the healer is okay with it. I also set a target macro for that (^)(&^ghastly fear mob. we crush it and go on to the end with a reasonably smooth run.

I know a lot of people are much higher than that, but that was a tough road for me. I had put it aside for a week thinking I might not go for it.

anyway, thanks for reading along.

time to just fiddle around and make gold I guess.

Grats on progressing in the decline simulator!

I’m almost at 2500 and then I’ll be done with it.

The crazy part in all of this is there are several thousand people who are already running plus 17s. I can’t imagine what everybody else must be going through with eights and tens.

I was grinding crests on 8s a couple weeks ago and realized it’s easier and more reliable to do 11s this late in the season.

Yeah, dispel week is notoriously rough for crest groups because it is hard to solo carry the affix.

it’s probably easier to find more groups doing 11s. They probably figured out the same thing.

I’m still doing +5s. I haven’t been able to time a +5 Necrotic Wake lol. Just need a tank that knows how to pull it and isn’t 585 ilvl.

I think people are attempting keys just because the game upgraded their key. They are assuming they are eligible to do it just because they timed a +2. No, you need to keep doing +2s until you upgrade your gear further.
