Rich people call that a panic room.

Are you insane?

  • I said I’m not an antivaxxer. I get my flu shot every year.
  • I was the one that pointed out they’re not 100% and they don’t cover every strain, just the most common that year.

???

I always thought the concept of a panic room as shown in movies a bit silly.

Like… if you’re going to build a super-secure room into your home why do you just hide there and wait for the cops to show up? Why not fill it with guns? All the guns. Big guns, little guns, shotguns, plasma guns… and knives too. Big Get-Lost Shiny ones that let someone know you’re serious.

I mean, if the cops were competent, whoever just entered your home would’ve been caught and thrown in jail. So why are you depending on the cops?

“Aww, they got into a panic room. Now what we gonna do?”
“Beats me, George, let’s see if they got any valuables.”
“Wait… Fred… Why do I hear boss music?”

Reading comprehension.

Some immunity is better than none. I’ll take 60% anyday.

None is what we have with covid-19.

The poor rich have panic rooms. The rich rich have bunkers. lol

Speaking of reading comprehension, I never said it wasn’t. Obviously I agree if I get my flu shot every year.

You’re the one that said you can just get a flu shot and won’t die. That is false and no amount of tap dancing will change it.

I just watched a press conference with our state governor. He advocated social distancing and just today outlawed gatherings and events of 250+ people. He then went on to state that non-compliance could result in the institution of corrective measures. He says he has no qualms about using the national guard to enforce certain public safety measures. He’s taking a proactive stance on the whole thing.

Given the whole Activision thing, Blizzard shutting down would be an act of mercy.

Just make sure you disinfect those safe spaces really good before that coronavirus gits ya lol.

/shrug I’ll get my flu shot and figure I’m good regarding the flu for the season.

Still no vaccine for covid-19. So not feeling the same about coronavirus despite efforts from some trying to pass this off as being no worse than the flu.

The outbreak in China began at the end of December
The difference is, it spread to the US now

This is not the same thing as the common flu, it’s viral pneumonia

Might be too late now but we do live in a democracy.
Only as good as the leaders we elect.

The end stage will be when they tell everyone to start wearing masks. School kids in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan being required to wear masks even outside the epicenters and even though the mortality rates for children are very low. They are doing what they can to prevent the spread and protect their future assets.

“The year is 2024. The world has been brought to its knees by rampaging concern over Corona Virus. Society has all but collapsed. In a bid for power in the shadow of the crippled government, a new local warlord has risen to power. Hushed whispers speak of the great reserves of toilet paper held by a sole individual, and how those who enter her good graces may have a chance to share in the wealth of her hoard…”

Yeah, I’m going to opt for complying with the governor and other civic authorities. There are so many unknowns about this and with all the Covid-19 variant genomes floating around out there who can say if mutation might occur.

We had two college tours set up for our oldest daughter for next week. The colleges are no longer allowing tours until after April 6th. The other kids all had ISSMA competitions this weekend no rescheduling just cancelled. Lol family time is great but the kids stuck at home for too long will drive us all a little crazy. I may be a homebody but I like it quiet.

All that to say “yes” and “no” to your question. I am sure that you are not alone though.

Yeah, who wants to go to work just to shake hands with the wrong person and then you have the virus. The end of days my friends, and it was a good run.

Godspeed!

It won’t be that bad. There will be a vaccine by next season (misguided faith in U.S. technology?) and everything will be back to normal as people will fall back into their old habits. But there will be pain during the interim.
