The Siren Isle ring should be nerfed for season 2

Because a lot of people got their goals and toon a break, and only come back for a new season. Coming back and having to do a grind just to stay competitive is bad design. I should replace season 1 gear with season 2 gear, not have to go spend hours doing rares and quests to get some ring

You can get the chain done in ~20 minutes. Iā€™d have other worries if they were spending ā€˜hoursā€™.

Psht, if I can do that whole ring questline on 20 characters someone else can do it on 1 or 2 if they want it that bad.

Iā€™m a big fan of effort, even if this case its trivial, carrying over into the next season. A little bump to push you forward for sticking through a patch is nice.

They should just change the one step to not require filling the bar to unlock that step of the quest. That was the only really annoying part.

The ring and entire upgrade process is an hour tops if youre really slow. Stop being a lazy troll.

No grinding is back in Shadowlands. I was fresh back from a long break from WoD. So i was happy to be back. Not knowing i was on a treadmill chasing some cheese but anyways. Shadowlands renown grind was tough but I got it done. All 4 renown to 80 b4 last season came out and the 40 and 60 boost. Check my achievements if you dont believe me.

I strongly disagree with that. Having every single piece of gear become irrelevant every patch is exhausting. I feel like a hamster on a wheel.

Having a few gear pieces that actually stay relevant throughout the expansion would be a huge step forward.

It doesnā€™t take hours and thereā€™s a lot of cosmetics at siren isle so itā€™s not a waste of time

ā€œSeasonsā€ is one of the major things that have killed WOW. Part of the fun of early WOW was not having your gear obsoleted immediately on the release of the new tier.

Nowdays, Blizzard ensures that all the time you spent in the previous ā€œseasonā€ is effectively wasted with instant catch up and invalidation.

Pretty sure tuning wise the ring is about on par with a heroic ring of next tier. So youā€™ll outgrow it by getting a better ring from a Mythic Raid, M+ vault or crafting.

Tanks and Healers may hold onto it a bit longer since they tend to value cantrip damage a bit more than DPS do.
