Then maybe we should have heard about it from him maybe? Or at least some hint of this other place.

Don’t get me wrong I like new lore and these lands seem interesting but the way we got here and the retconing of previous lore is just terrible.

John Hight actually gave an answer to this at Blizzcon:

    We’ve had some characters that have passed and have very vague memories of the Shadowlands. If you ended up being part of Ardenweald and in the Fae part of their whole afterlife is reincarnation or resurrection. So some of the characters that went through that process are going to have memories. But not deep ones.
