Contrary to this, I will disagree. Tons of people have been coming back, getting ready for MoP, and servers are quite busy.

Blizzard only see classic progression servers as a cash cow they do very little work for.
All they care about is selling boosts, upgrade/mount packs and server transfers/faction changes.
There are still free transfers off the locked servers.
Lots of people are just taking a break pre MoP the numbers will spike again soon.
Or people that don’t like all the bullsh!t the other servers have. No BS chat spam and no bots.
Started on Azuresong and it is dead and locked. Not going to pay for a server transfer, so get to start fresh again. Yay… o.O
TL;DR: It’s expensive to create realm clusters, and they’re probably too lazy to do the free xfer method.

There’s only 6500 players on Faerlina, which is horrible.
That is more than enough. Remember, original server pop cap was 5k.
What they need is a faction-balanced PvP server! I would reroll toons for MoP on a balanced PvP server if they did that. But they should have done any sort of server merges or new servers to balance PvP while JJ has been up.
Grob is faction balanced
SoD has 25K.
6k is pathetic.
And half of those don’t speak English
