The RPG Holy Trinity is Bottlenecking Dungeon Finder

People read this then you guys expect everyone else to sympathize when they take away WAs. Why don’t the same rules apply to top level players, “Git gud” which rhymes with mud?

True, trying to heal people’s stupidity can make or break a person.

Tanks / Healers should be filled with an NPC at lower brackets if the queue time goes beyond a certain level.

I am tired of waiting 15-30 minutes to play.

“Play a Healer/Tank” - Playing a role I do not enjoy is not a solution.

If you go to gw2, they have rolelesss dungeons /raids and its trash .

Mechanics are one shot, cause that is the only way it will matter otherwise its like doing normal dungeons with the end game gear

its absolutely HYSTERICAL that the LEAST sympathetic posters on this forum then expect US to sympathize when THEIR game gets trashed lol.

The choice to play a pure DPS spec is yours and yours alone. The game is functioning as intended and certain roles are necessary when coming back to retail. If you choose to play a pure DPS spec and not take advantage of at least a healing or tank spec then that is your choice. I don’t see any need to change how things are considering how many classes have options. But unless you deliberately choose a rogue, hunter, warlock, or mage, you have a better chance at a shorter wait time. it has always been that way, even in retail.

anyone disagreeing with you dont understand why ur right, Blizz rn is just making all classes do all things

theres no reasons as to why these things exist:

-casters using mobility
-melee with range attacks
-dps with defensives(this should be tank only)
-dps with alot of selfhealing(negates the need for healers)
-bdk having insane self healing(again this should be healer only)
-healers with defensives that only apply to them(again this negates tanking)

theres too many role elements being represented by other roles, id say remove the things that should be role specific but at this point we are so far gone id just say remove roles themselves and have a glorified dps/support system, where its nice to have a tank or healer but not fully necessary

There is a point in GW2 where role matters, Alac DPS, QDPS, Condi, Power, Tank, Healer and so on. People do build for roles when they hit the point where those roles are relevant (it’s relatively hard to get fully carried in T4 fractals)

It’s been years since “everyone as a DPS in zerker” has been dead.

This! Without roles you get a hyper gimmicky everyone-for-themselves fest of people soloing in parallel. It’s fine in things like delves, but you do not want that ethic mixed with the “my whole self worth is my upper end PVE performance because WoW is the big leagues” strain of insanity.

arent all the roles essentially just stealing gameplay fundamentals from other roles anyways? healers doing dmg and having defensives, dps having heals and defensives, tanks having dps builds and self-healing, like warrior literally has healing baked into its dmg or bleeds lol

This should for real be a thing for leveling dungeons as a minimum.

The tank/healer roles are barely needed there.

Healers doing damage is not stealing roles, it’s how it should always have been. This is why people in other games dread wow healer mains.

Be a part of the solution, not the problem. Play a tank or a healer.

Oh ok so logically dps should also be allowed to fill the healer role and tanking and we should abandon all roles because the trinity isnt an actual trinity but a mesh of everything with some things performing better in specific areas but can essentially do all things

This wasnt the trinity from 20yrs ago, its a watered down version of it

It’s a problem that should solve itself by players choosing specs with faster queues. Unfortunately, tanking means leading the group and making all the choices about pulls and routes and such, so it’s way higher-pressure than the other roles and a lot of people don’t want to do it as a result.

From everything I’ve ever seen, breaking the trinity just leads to boring pseudo-healers that don’t heal or damage well and feel kinda crap to play.

I like rpgs. Single player, and mmorpgs. I don’t know how you came to the conclusion that I don’t?

But I am just asking Blizz to change something in game to make it better. If you have been playing Wow for years you would have noticed many quality of life improvements. Along with those changes came leveling modifications that initially made Wow leveling dungeons easier to run and finish faster. Where a dungeon would take a half hour to complete, now it take a random group 5 or ten minutes.

Wow dungeons are so easy from what they where that they are cakewalks. Wow is becoming a game where the classes are become homogenized into being the same. This is evident from the changes they have made already and the changes incoming the the classes they have announced for the future expansions.

So then what’s the point of holding Holy Trinity requirements for dungeon finder? If all the classes are going to be homogenized into the same thing different in name only?
