Yay, the playerbase told them the ripcord needed to be pulled before they even jumped out of the plane…they still waited until 2ft from the ground to pull it…

Surprise surprise. They bleed subs, they remove arbitrary timegates and forced time played mechanics. Happens every time.

This is why people probably will, and should, stay away despite this announcement. People should return once Blizzard have hsown, that they are ready to keep trying to make the right decision from the get go, not only when they start losing people.
Make a game to entertain people, do not make a game to waste their time.

I would wager the only surprise is that it happened sooner rather than later.
Honestly, I liked the Covenant system, but I don’t have a problem with it making its way out the door now. It served its purpose early on, allowed us to explore some new concepts in the game, provided an interesting narrative device, etc. However, in the current state of the expansion, and in the current position of the narratives (they are not really separate Covenants anymore, everyone has joined forces), it makes sense to say what’s done is done and move forward.

True but the real changes that need to happen are Ion being demoted/fired. New Devs with an actual vision for creating an immersive MMO again need to be hired. If Korthia and Dailys chores is the best they got…then this game is hopeless.
PS- Fix upgrading conduits and stop being stubborn. Just let people upgrade the exact conduit they want so they don’t feel like their game time is wasted. The entire Conduit problem is one of the reasons why I don’t even attempt to make an Alt.
Lost Ark just posted massive active player numbers and Blizz is completely scared about their NA release.
