When you cap on a given crest type, you receive the one below it until you cap on that one, etc etc.
Doing content explicitly to farm carved crests is just completely unnecessary when you can outgrow / outright skip carved crests by getting better gear.

Yes, but a T8 is absurdly more challenging and less rewarding to do. So I’d get the same number of crests, downgrade them, and waste a huge amount of time?
Why would you do anything other than an 11 and completely ignore the trash tier crests to begin with?

Exactly, you will build up a pile to buy runed crests after the achievement. That’s the only value carved offers.
Between that and the gatekeeping of old Druid werebear forms I’m also done!! This game is dying on the vine, who locks access to what boils down to old transmog!! Blizzard doesn’t care about how many of us are leaving, they take zero corrective action on any issues!!! It’s sad to see a game with so much potential fade away like this
Delves in general aren’t challenging, let alone for a tank spec. There’s barely a difference between a 7 and an 8, let alone going up to an 11.

I’m pretty sure I mostly skipped over Carved for the most part. I had a difficult time figuring out what drops them, outside of lower tiers of Delves.
So I just did what I could to get Hero track and crafted stuff.
I don’t remember having this issue with Carved last season.

You’re a Blood DK at iLvl 691. The terms “T8” and “challenging” shouldn’t even be in the same paragraph. You could literally pull the entire delve at once and survive.
Honestly with the GD’s response to dinars it’s getting hard to tell what’s concern trolling / entitlement and what’s parody.
In a world where “Give me rewards for content I haven’t done” is a justifiable stance, I’m not sure we have Sunday threads anymore.

Because you’re thinking way too hard about it. If you to a t7 you get the SAME number of crests or less as a T8, they award completely different crests. How does that not compute for ya? lol! you’d go up a tier, get less/same rewards, why?
Just do 11s and you just ignore the rest.
A lot of threads complaining about valorstone farming, and in every thread the OP isn’t actually farming valorstones in an efficient way, only a way they think is the best way.
Take the radiant echoes to the worldsoul memories and do those. Thats your best source for valorstones quickly.

Worth noting after turbo boost then delves will be both the most efficient way to farm all crest types AND and the most efficient way to farm valorstones. Literally faster and easier than m+ to get gilded crests.
I have veteran gear. Upgrader tells me I need 60 carved to upgrade my gear to max 8/8

Literally nothing in the game or on WoWhead instructs you optimal ways of farming items or currencies… and if you ask chat GPT or anything else… It’s so confused too.
