I am overwhelmed and sad

I spent a couple hours last week making macros and redoing keybindings for all my spells. Each talent and spell has a bind now and they’re all appropriately mapped.

It was overwhelming at first, but you also have to look at your playstyle and see what spells you actually use regularly. In the past I wouldn’t DPS at all, so i didn’t have LB or LvB mapped period - at the time this helped a lot with the number of spells I would have to keep track of.

I love playing my Resto Shaman now because of the macros I have on him. Highly recommend.

Yes! This is the way to go. I have the following mapped to a help / harm macro

Chain lighting / chain heal
Lava burst / healing surge
Lightning bolt / healing wave
Flame shock / earth shield
Purge / (whatever the thing that removes harmful effects)

That eliminates 5 buttons off the bat.

Then I have riptide on its own.
Healing rain on its own.

That pretty much covers most everything major except for totems and cooldowns …

Healing stream, Earthbind, Spirit link, Healing tide, manna Tide, ascendance, earth elemental …

Yeah i mean only if youre trying to be good

i kinda agree that we can easily have thirty key binds , but you can start healing with basic rotation and build up from that .

I do something like this as well with the help of Clique addon. Basically does the same thing so I can put DPS and Heal spells together on one bind depending on whether its harmful or friendly.

I hadn’t thought of that. Have everything bound, but this will free up a few for me.

Thanks! Learn something new everyday.

This macro will also work really well to free up some space.

If pointer is hovering over a target it will use Lasso and if not it will use Bulwark.

/cast [@mouseover,exists,harm] Lightning Lasso; Stone Bulwark Totem

edit; of course swap it out for whatever spell you like
