Yes, but youā€™re supposed to slow the spread as much as possible until we have vaccines, or medicine that can help the people who are at risk.

So itā€™s supposed to be just waiting in out until we have a way to fight it. Then things can go back to normal.

Essentially, give up a year of going out to bars and eating out so that less people die.

2,600 people died on 9/11.

If 220,000 Americans had been killed by terrorist attacks all over the country for the last 6 months would you be as equally unconcerned?

By the end of the year 1 out of every 1,000 Americans will be dead from this disease.

If Covid-19 were a war it would only be outranked by WW2 for numbers of deaths for the US and it will surpass that by Thanksgiving.

Both of my parents are Stage IV cancer survivors and there is zero chance I will risk their safety due to my behavior. The exact same way I wouldnā€™t drive drunk with a loved one in the car(not that Iā€™d drink and drive anyway).

Thatā€™s why itā€™s important for people who arenā€™t at risk to take all measures they can. Because it isnā€™t their lives they are necessarily risking(though it may be) but others.

They donā€™t seem to realize he made it through fine because he was pumped full of the best stuff the country has to offer 24/7 until he recovered. That certainly wouldnā€™t be the case for the rest of us, especially if weā€™re not rich.
