Mop classic collector’s edition?
ngl wish blizzard would just have servers of all xpacs (up to mop) i know probably not worth it but man would be nice to just hop on any xpac anytime and play
Ah yes yet another thing to further divide players c’mere
im taking ur tent away
also i know thats why i said its probably not worth it also dont wack me with the newspaper im not an animal
Wrath didn’t have the balance or the diversity that MoP had
We had those complaints in MOP. Difference was is that the gameplay still felt fun to play. You don’t auto lose/win. Your spec feels fun to play into everything. Your spec has a way to win vs everything.
MOP was literally just the best way to play the game for anyone who wanted to just play the game. It’s. Just. Enjoyable.
Damn, I just posted this in another thread before I clicked on this one.
Ret felt like trash. Whoever says “every spec felt good” were probably stampede abusers or warrior, lock, dk rogue
Once wod came out ret felt AMAZING and got nerfed in like a week
RSS killed arena. There’s no more feeling of gradual competition. You basically get out of placement games and you’re facing Duelist+ XP people at 1200 MMR. So you’ve got to either be really good, or ping pong around at a 50-70% WL until you hit a wall, and that wall is hundreds of CR lower than it was before RSS came out.
Ret was a plate wizard, with amazing healing and good defensives.
Their best comp being cupid/priest was an easy comp to play.
That didn’t even last very far into launch.
I think wotlk had the diversity of mop. I can’t think of a spec that wasnt viable (tanks included). Only thing missing were monks, which as a warrior im ok with. no offfense
RMP was a plague, pve gear littered arena with broken trinkets or the lego axe and healing mace.
I myself abused the heroic marrowgar axe as a ret for some crazy levels of healing.
Too much pve infected wotlk
thats fairr, im weird anadd liked the pve stuff
I use to enjoy pve myself occasionally, but it required a lot of commitment to also pve just to get one piece.
Like tiny abomb in a jar wasn’t something every pug group could get.
No I never liked mop ret, old mastery was just bad, damage still reduced by armor, 20% wall that was nothing compared to what others had. Reliance on inquisition yada yada. Healing was alright.
Wod ret was everything ret should have always been. Either empowered seals or final verdict, wod ret brought many improvements like the ds proc or reduced forb.
You’re missing the nicest (imo) part of wod ret - clemency! Double charges of blessings and sac that removes all magic. People cry about sanc now it’s so funny.
They had the strongest hybrid healing.
WoD ret lost most of their range. MoP during wings was basically a plate range.
WOD ret was only strong comparedly to everyone else of it’s time but it was a reduction due to pruning.
Clemency , burden of gguilt, emmancipate, long arm of the law. From wod to legion ret went from a pink lamborghini murcielago to a nissan sentra
Legion ret was the absolute worst.
wild class imbalance from season to season also
