The real issue with TBC isn't boosting or class balance

I’m a TBC fanboy, but there’s one thing I remember starting in TBC…

gear score

Just say no to gear score guys. It’s dumb, you sound dumb when recruiting for your TBC group based on gear score, and once again it’s dumb. I don’t care what your gear score is. No one cares what your gear score is. A high gear score doesn’t mean you’re geared properly or you know what you’re doing.

Also, don’t try to tailor some perfect group comp for your 5 man dungeon. If you’re only recruiting warlock DPS or taking a pally tank for your dumb blood furnace run, you’re also dumb.

Just stop it. Get help.

P.S. A prot pally doesn’t mean you can immediately start casting seed or chain lightning either. Just try not to be bad guys. And remember, don’t be the idiot asking for gear score when putting together your terrible PUG.

Back in Wrath I went to Blizcon with my 6k gearscore, and got all the fine Bloodelf hunnies.

We’ve already moved past Gear Score and can go right back around to Equivalence Points to judge specs/gear/enchants instead.

You shall be judged!!!

(It just might not be based just on something vapid like ilvl)

I remember the majority of these gear score guys were either unguilded or in a kara guild lol. Same kind of guys who’d claim it was just their alt and their main was in D&T or was gladiator, etc.

Also, to reiterate for those who will be new to TBC: pally tanks are cool and all, but they’re not magic. The first time you go into shadow labyrinth I’d highly recommend you don’t go ham on the AOE early unless you like dying lol. Maybe do your tank a solid and actually follow a kill order since the pulls are like 6 mobs who actually use abilities unlike the stuff we see in current dungeons.

Also good to note: everything fears, and Blizzard decided they liked stealthed mobs in TBC.
