Why should pvp and pve gear be on par at all? Everyone is thrown into Azeroth and is free to decide how to spend their time. I absolutely will not do group pve - hating dungeons and raids as I do. I love pvp, especially battlegrounds. I enjoy the game. Why should the game be designed so everyone gets to have the best gear? Why? If you think the rank grind is unhealthy, then make the healthy choice for yourself.

hard to have fun pvping with people running around in aq 40 gear while were still tryn to grind rank 10 using crappy weapons.
That doesnāt end up solving anything as people on PvE servers will grind it out to get the gear for the competitive edge in PvE.
The gear is really good for PvE until AQ40

Or if pve is so ābrain dead boringā (implying easy) then beat them at their own game. PVE for what you think you need.
But remember, someone loses in PVP. Sometimes that person is you. Itās a hard knock life and not everyone is suited for it, OP.

It has to be fair! Itās not fair other people have time, or are retired or are capable of doing the grind! I donāt have time to do it so Blizzard should accommodate me!

I literally saw a post about someone grinding honor and saying you donāt PvP or do BGs for fun. You only do it for honor and gear.

Do you mean to say that the vanilla pvp system, which was bad and scrapped in TBC, is bad and should be scrapped?
Iād love if they drastically changed up the pvp system for an SoM, not specifically because of the time sink, but because the vanilla pvp system is plain garbage on almost all levels. It lacks ranked play, it lacks proper DRs, it lacks resilience, etc etc etc. Iād love a solid pvp system that makes use of vanilla raid loot and what not, but for now we get the rehashed garbage. so just dont play it.
Imagine if blizz changed the current r14 grind into a skilled based system such as retailās rated battlegrounds. I think itād be great but many of the current r14ās would be upset because they couldnāt achieve a rank 1 spot in a pure skill based contest. Thereād be just as much complaining as there is now.

Retail + Classic = 
I find Classic/SoM PVP pretty fun personally. I stopped at R11 on my SoM mage and donāt regret anything about that.
TBCC PVP hasnāt been as fun for me, there are a lot of reasons why that I wonāt get into here but Iām pretty happy we have this now.
For real though Retail and TBCC are there I people want a more at your own pace for gear and then you can try hard in arenas.

Awesome.
You know what to expect as far as the time investment and know where your fun āsweet spotā is found. Thatās such a personal thing and itās going to be difficult for Blizz to make adjustments to satisfy everyone.
If/when there is another season perhaps Blizz will change things up a bit more.

ya why do MC when itās harder when i can just afk in AV for 12 hours a day and get AQ level gear.
and now you have people abusing the right-click report they probably ban more people for pvp than they do bots.
Iāve never actually seen a guild that requires people to be over rank 10. Nobody expects you to do that. No, itās not healthy. No, itās not for people with normal lives. So what, more power to those who can do it. Youāre literally missing out on nothing.
