Default is better than AWC view?
We don’t want people to have ways to collect tmogs?

True, its better than the default view in some sense, bit jarring to look that far for DRs and such in my opinion. That’s the main reason I don’t quite grasp why people like it so much. It’s nice to look at but playing with one, eh?
I also just dislike the reward track, makes me think of some quick shooters like Fortnite, personally, I don’t see it fitting WoW. The trading post track stuff is similar, not a fan of that. I think it gives me a mindset I’m playing a cheap bad quality game that has millions of other copies similar to it on the marketplace. 1800 threshold works fine imro.
EDIT: However! If they made a button click to have the AWC view, okay let’s do it. If people want it, sure. I’ve seen it being suggested a few times before. I’m sticking to my personalized one though.
You’re right on the trading post stuff, definitely cheapens it when we pay a sub and expansion price on top of that. Feels like it doesn’t really have a place in the game.
But if someone is a “F2P” player, it gives them the opportunity to collect visual appearances they normally wouldn’t have access to since they’re locked to a “pvp island/city”. Think it’s a decent incentive for them.
Generally, we just need to inject growth - and this seems to be the way to do it. Making PvP F2P could be the move and cross sell these new people into the base game.
Got to be easier to sell a F2P player into more content, than a net new player completely. Very reminisant of the F2P players in Fortnite buying Save the World because they like the mechanics of the game enough to play multiple versions of it.
At this point, you may as well YOLO into a new playerbase than trying to appease the remaining what, 5K of us that play consistently? The <1000 who have strong feelings about the game being more open, easier to acquire gear? Who cares about these opinionated people who will probably still play the game anyways, when you’ve just acquired a new 50k+.
WoW players whine about most changes, and then queue again a week later. I’ve been seeing the same names on these forums for years at this point.
The only way pvp gets fixed is if we all get lobotomies
I like your posts, whenever I don’t even fully agree with some of them. But now that I think about it more and more, sure. I don’t like the monetized reward track you mentioned in the earlier post, but the gearing part I agree with.
I gotta admit, initially I just wanted to point out few things you mentioned with that emoji, but I didn’t put much effort in it …nor reading it carefully. I guess neuron activation and assumptions after reading these forums for a while?
I’d be fine with the F2P PvP “island” with possibility to gear up and even getting the transmogs from rating rewards. Wouldn’t affect me that much personally, but I don’t see a why not. I just won’t give a thumbs up for anything uhh mobile-gamey, free-to-payey shenanigans if you know what I mean
No matter how you slice it, PvPers are getting ripped off… We pay too much money for the amount we get ignored. We collectively pay enough for 1-2 full time engineers, JUST on arenas. Truthfully even out of my suggestion, that’s all that we would need too.
Weird that the WoW team doesn’t see the return on that with the possbility to grow this segment of the game out even beyond…
Especially when the arena experience is so unique. I can’t think of any other MMO doing the same. I heard about arenas in New World, but eh, I haven’t played it, but I assume it’s nowhere close to WoW.
Guid Wars comes to mind as a successful PVP
Agreed! The PVP hub was actually something they featured in GW2 as well with PVP only toons.
