There are 8 other classes. If you don’t like hunter try a different one.
Also, only 2 of those other classes out dps you currently.
Too bad you aren’t the bestest. Tough, suck it up.

This post isn’t whether or not I’m the bestest at anything. This is a post about being nerfed because a max rank wind serpent kills people in PvP.
And there are a bunch of Horde PvP Andy’s in here proving my point. Y’all are just soft.
Yup. No kidney shot, cheap shot, or blind but regardless if they got on top of you and apply crippling it’s an uphill battle for a majority of the classes in game because of their sheer damage output right now. Once they get the rest of their tools I don’t see many people beating Rogues anymore.
Hunters were already in that sort of state though. Unless you have a hard cc on the pet there is absolutely no counter-play to getting dazed and focused fired by both.
Druids and Shamans can remove crippling poison on themselves and their allies. If ya dazed ya dazed however. It’s not even an uphill battle, I’m just dead.
Thunder Fury prio?

Hunter is the easiest class in the game. They are in the top dps parses for the majority of players because the majority of players are bad.
So all in all they are doing really well in all aspects of the game and I’m sure it will continue to be the case. Hunters are fine. Just nerf thunder breath to the ground and it’s gg for everyone.
Shams and warriors play really well into rogues, same as Druid and locks.
Hunters are easy but it doesn’t really matter cause of the serpent pets.
I’d like to point out that top parses tend to be outliers, and not representative of the majority.

That’s the beauty of vanilla. There are clear matchups which favor certain classes against the other… But I really can’t say there are any winning matchups against the Hunter right now. At best it’s a 50-50.
But that’s not what they did, and that’s why players are wondering what the point is.
You misread what I typed. Hunters are the TOP dps in the Majority of parcers. They are not the top in the outliers who are good at the game. That goes to warriors.
Warriors are harder to play, so better players utilize them more effectively. Hunters are the easiest class to play so for most majority of raid logs they are the top. Hunters are the top dps rule while warriors are the exception.
I’m probably just not very good, but do you think it’s 50:50 for a hunter versus a priest, warlock or shaman?
This reminds me of the Hardcore experiment.
Despite Hunters having far and away the easiest leveling journey and Warriors the worst, after 3 months only 4% of Hunters made it to lvl 60 against 5% of Warriors, with roughly the same amount of characters created between the two classes.
The reason for this is because Hunter unironically attracted the worse players because of its reputation for being easy, as well as players with bad internet connection because the pet can help if you DC. Whereas Warrior attracted players who were prepared for the challenge.
I feel ya. It sucks when your class gets gutted for reason that have absolutely nothing to do with you. Buuuut that being said, Hunters are not hurting at all. Being a Shaman dps hurts. Especially when Blizz has done 1 minor buff that fixed nothing. Guaranteed we will still be far behind for awhile, if not possibly the entire season. Guess whatbim saying is you may have it “bad”, but trust me, it can absolutely be worse.
No. Not even close.
Hunter counters all of these.
Crazy how everyone thinks it’s end of the world for hunters when we got a slight nerf to the pet rune. Get over it, it’s just a game and hunters will still dump on solo content/low level pvp. Honestly I’m glad they did this because now marks is a more attractive option
Well idk about Locks anymore because Meta gives so much armor I’m not sure any physical can kill them solo still.
But Priest and Shaman? Definitely.
Oh interesting! Could you walk me through a bit about how I should be playing versus them? I’m pretty new to the class (even though I’ve had a low-level hunter avatar on the forum for years, I’ve kept a bank alt, and not mained hunter), and it feels like I will always lose to those 3 classes.
More like, players prepared for ezpz lemon squeezy
I think at level 40 you’re going to see some power come from the runes you have. It’s like being a shadow priest without shadow form. Not having your entire toolkit available makes it difficult.
You have my sympathy though friend ![]()
Wrong. Hunter’s sole role is to provide buffs to The Warrior.™
Hunter must run furious howl for The Warrior.™ Trueshot aura must be up for The Warrior.™ Hunter must kite for The Warrior.™ Should The Warrior™ require a nerf, hunter is first in line to receive it, followed by any class that poses no threat to The Warrior.™ Only The Rogue may remain, for he is The Warrior’s™ mortal enemy.
