The Primal Infused Vendor (Malicia) will use a Primal Infused item as currency instead of non upgraded items

Subject: The Primal Infused Vendor (Malicia) will use a Primal Infused item as currency instead of non upgraded items that you have, resulting in the loss of Trophies of Strife.

Expected Behavior: Buying a Primal Infused Item should not use another existing Primal Infused item as currency for the upgrade.

Actual Behavior: You can buy Primal Infused items with other primal infused items of the same name.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Buy 2x identical Drakebreaker’s weapons from the War Mode Quartermaster
  2. Upgrade one of them to Primal Infused (385) by purchasing it from Malicia
  3. Equip the items, 385 in main hand, 366 in offhand.
  4. Purchase a 2nd 385 item of the same name from Malicia
    4a. Note that the purchase prompt shows a blue weapon and Trophy of Strife.
  5. The existing 385 Primal Infused weapon will be used as currency for the upgrade and the non Primal infused weapon (366) will remain.

BRUHHHH this just happened to me!, i have 2 366 drake breaker mallets in inventory, i traded 1 in for a 385 primal infused drake breaker mallet and it worked fine, then i clicked on it again to trade my 2nd 366 drake breaker mallet for a 385 drake breaker mallet, it just gave me the same mallet and didnt take my 366 drake breaker mallet and it ate 7 of my trophies! i want my trophies back! and the mallet wasnt even unique!!

Open a ticket in game for Item > Other Issue and link to this post. I was able to get my 7 Trophies of Strife restored.

I put my upgraded shiv in my bank before trying to upgrade my second one and it still used the upgraded shiv in trade.
