391? What? HoA goes up that high? *edit: Nvm, I’m dumb. I was thinking of power level.
The Ring of Booty is excellent, even if the game files in beta hinted at an encounter that never made it to live. Doubly so if my GM is tanking it and starts having giggle fits in voice over the absurdity of the entire encounter. Heck, Freehold in general is a solid dungeon.
The Legacy Loot system is a godsend as a transmog collector. I actually have incentive to run SoO/WoD raids now.
EDIT: War mode. How could I forget war mode. I adore it as someone who enjoys PvP, but was stuck on PvE server due to my guild who I refuse to separate from.
I like these a lot, too. It took me a long time to finally figure out how to do that penguin sliding but it’s fun.
Both are.
It’s in the harbour, off to the side where the IE thing is, then to your right.
You’ll see a big turtle swimming around. It’s in that spot.
I like that I can still gear up my characters decently without having to set foot in raids, considering my limited time available to play. There is much variety of things to do for a casual gamer, relatively speaking.
That wowhead page only talks about the booze, do you know WHERE the underwater bars are located?
Edit: okay, I found a wowed page that shows the names of the bartenders in the various bars, and you can click on the name of the bartender to learn the locations.
Here is one of them: ~https://www.wowhead.com/npc=131902/gersho#comments
I would really like to go see it but I have no idea where it is based on your directions. I’m guessing “the harbor” is Boralas harbor but what is “the IE thing”?
This. I liked the Alliance zones (Well, Drustvar and Tiris… I didn’t actually do Stormsong :s) as well. But all of this focus on trolls and Loa? It’s super neat, and super fun. I really wish they’d continue to expand on those wonderful stories rather than focus on faction war.
Unpopular opinion from me: I enjoy Island Expeditions and am happy about the upcoming changes. To me, they’re fun.
And finally, the new mounts & pets are rad, but it doesn’t take much to please me as a collector ('cept for the trash that is the 400 mount reward, in my opinion anyway.)
lol, sorry about that. You’re posting on a horde toon so I assumed. Now I noticed you’re only lvl 44.
In Zuldazar, where the IE npc is, run down and jump in the water, swim to the other shore and you’ll see a giant turtle. It’s under that area.
Thats horde side. Idk where it is on alli side but another poster put in a link which will make more sense.
**Maybe this will help. https://youtu.be/8yx362NsEBg
and this describes where it’s at for both horde and alliance:
The bored npc’s in the bank and the inn on alli side crack me up.
I really like island expeditions! I only have two friends that play this game, so some three man content is exactly what we needed. I like collecting the pets from it
War mode toggle. Being able to freely transfer to PvP realm and back is a blessing.
Communities are also great. I’ve joined a couple and they are what guilds couldn’t do for me ever - a no obligation, but still activity targeted group of people.
The art team have done an amazing job for a 15 year old base engine. Everything and I mean everything else ranges between horrible and meh.
I like the scrapper, it reminds me of Fallout 4. I just wish it paid out more.
The logout button, it’s the only thing that works 100%
That aside, I’ve loved the zones, the questing, the sounds/music/voice acting, and of course the art team’s efforts.
Simon Templeman did miss out on a good opportunity of reminding me of my destiny though, but we got through it in the end.
in no particular order:
- bwonsamdi and his little heckles. just anything to do with Big Pappa Bwon.
- Jani’s voice acting and dialogue. HEK HEK HEK.
- like a previous poster said, i like that we unlock the allied races. it makes sense and i adore the fact that theres storylines attached and it isnt just a you log in one day and boom there ya go, new race.
- despite the fact that a lot of the story is trashboat fanfic or worse in content, HOW the story is being delivered is great. the avenues blizz are going about telling this xpacks story is top notch, just a pity that the content of that story ( especially concerning sylvanas. primarily concerning sylvanas ) is utter stupidity.
- im enjoying that * some * crafted gear, with a lot of mats and effort is up to relative difficulty in acquisition to the content. ie: i like that we can craft up to highest raid difficulty gear. its just a pity that theres no reroll tokens for the stats on the gear like in previous xpacks.
- pvp hippo is gorgeous.
- i havnt started leveling mine yet, but the assortment of brand new types of hunter pets is awesome. bees? crawgs? theres so many new pet types you can get now which are awesome.
- the capital cities are both gorgeous and have so much personality in them. they did a tremendous job with both of them.
- the music as always, is stellar. you can always count on blizzards audio departments to knock it out of the park.
- the leveling experience and the zones were well done overall. i personally disliked stormsong for various reasons, but drustvar and tirisgarde are both great with drust being the best by far.
- inscription contracts were a smart idea, they needed to give some value back to scribes somehow, and this worked out pretty damn well.
cant think of much more off of the top of my head, but theres likely more. the problem remains that the actual bulk of the xpack and its core systems have issues. especially concerning anything to do with classes/specs, tuning and the absolute lack of engaging feel and fun on them, azerite/azerite gear being the most dull pointless system, lack of world pvp events when its encouraged to be in warmode etcs etcs. the filigree of the xpack is great, the body needs a lot of work.
I’m gonna keep what I like about the game to myself, that way they can’t read this comment and then ruin it.
I didn’t have much to say until I heard about 8.1…now I think that with 8.1, it’s finally a worthy expansion and love the xp changes
Raiding, the next raid looks like a good time too
I enjoyed the storyline and visuals for both islands.
I really like the visuals for both capital cities especially Zuldazar, although movement there is rather annoying.
