The Plague Event is Fine, but only if it's Opt-In

What are you not understanding about this? The world is affected. If you go to a remote part of the world that’s fine because the world is still being affected. If you go to a major city you WILL be affected. Why is this such a difficult subject for you?

Ah yes. Living in a Garrison. This is PEAK participation in an event happening in the Capitols.

Because you want unrestricted PvP. Say it.

??? What, am I wrong?

I want the world event to affect the world is all. You just can’t accept it.

Yeah, you’re caging players in their Garrisons.

You dared to imply they opt out by leaving hot zones, monster.

Or you could just be a part of the event and you know…have some fun.

Remove the PvP portion, and I just might.

You’re not getting to gank me, so you can cleave off with that.

Meh. I’m going to be in Mechagon trying to get my Model W anyway. I lived through this plague once already and that’s enough.

I’m gonna be honest- I don’t mind the event and with some tweaks I think it’s going to be great.

But it’s super disingenuous to say ‘just stay out of the main cities’. Any other time there’s been something spreadable, you have people who will go out of their way to spread it as far as possible. There’s a reason why IRL scientists used the Corrupted Blood incident as a human model study. People deliberately, and for fun, spread it out into the world.

If there was any sort of guarantee that it would stay confined, I’d agree, just leave the area. But please stop acting like the entire playbase is going to just sit in the main cities when historically, this hasn’t been the case. I’ve played the PTR too and they’ve already started moving out into other cities.

Yes, some people like that warmode is opt in specifically to avoid world PVP. Trying to convince them that they should just deal with the event for who knows how long is malicious at best.

They just want victims for their gank-train. That’s why they hate War Mode protection with a fury.

Neuter the event. All I got from you.

I just remembered, SWTOR has had a similar event (likely copying the Wrath prepatch? I dunno how similar what’s going on now in the PTR is compared to the wotlk prepatch) where they would have a rakghoul infection. It would be very similar, except no actual pvp, but infection would be VERY easy. Lowbies would pretty much get infected from loading in.

Anyway, the solution - an inoculation item. It was cheap, easy to carry, would last an hour? a day? something.

So easy solution to let people opt-in, just have an Argent Dawn NPC bless you or put a warding on you. It wouldn’t phase you out, but it would also prevent you from participating in any activities for collectibles etc.

So it comes clear. You want to PvP with no rules.

If making it opt in with warmode enabled is considered neutering it, then neuter it into the ground.

ok,if you turned zombied because the world is infected your not the character you are you’re a zombie no one knows who you are the name isn’t there because you’re a zombbbbbie.

Its disingenuous to imply that only the garrison is safe. Unless a raid forms to deliberately scour a zone, nobody will encounter this outside of faction hotspots, and nowhere near the same scale even then.
