The fun of it is that you don’t have the choice, you have to work around it. If you could opt out of it you probably would after 30 mins. But sadly that turns a glorious 1000 zombie tromp on a city…into a 25 zombie tromp on a empty city. It’s just NOT the same.
The feel can not exist without the flat overarching law. For 1 week it’s not gonna kill you to RP with the rest of us. YOU have cell phones, your mostly zombie already!
Except the harm is you are wanting something that doesn’t make sense.
The harm is the even is effecting the world blizzard is showing how it effects via the Scourge going rampant because the Helm was destroyed.
If the scourge wasn’t attacking in a form of opting out it wouldn’t make sense.
Deal with it get over it you won’t get what you want accept the pre patch won’t last for ever it will prolly last a month at most.
It’s not a “world” event. It’s a pre-patch event that’s centralized in Orgrimmar and Stormwind. If you don’t want that, don’t go to those places. There are plenty other capitals you can go to instead.

Just because it’s a world event, doesn’t mean you have to force everybody in the event if they don’t want to. You are deliberately missing the point that if they don’t want to join the event because they don’t think it’s fun, that’s perfectly reasonable and it doesn’t go above the rules and it doesn’t make them special.
You are just throwing ad-hominums at that person for no real reason because in your mind “Their not having fun”
So does Logging out and going in the garrison, yet you don’t have a problem with that. Again, double standard.
I pointed out many times that logging out and going to your garrison does the same exact thing as you claim to disallow, and yet your accusing me for not knowing this “fact” while still refusing to acknowledge this bit or claim “oh that’s different”.
I have said this before to Evilbadguy, i would respect you better if you were consistent, even if you said something silly like “Forcing people to log in to their characters on their computers” etc.
And you’re not being consistent. What’s even worse, you said it’s against the rules to opt out, so why aren’t you complaining about those people logging out or staying in their garrison as rulebreakers?

I just want a world event to affect the world in and out of WM.
The options I have are these:
- Opt-Out
- Log Off
If I’m being denied the first option, then I only have the second option. Which is just as damaging to event participation.
If I could just shard off of the event, then what’s it matter to you?
That shows you take easy targets.
Believe me, I did the gank circuit for a bit too. I just felt no joy in it.
That’s exactly why it ended so quickly before. People joined PVE servers(like me after leaving the forgotten coast) to avoid having to deal with PVP when they aren’t in the mood to do so. War mode was one of the best decisions Blizzard has ever made when it comes to world PVP.
Except if you opt out you can stroll willy nilly through all the infect areas without a care in the world. That’s the issue. Go hide, log out whatever but if you enter Org/SW you SHOULD be affected.

And I gave you an example of the event where you DON’T stroll through the Capitols unaffected. You have to fight zombies.
You’re just mad because I removed the possibility of ganks.
What’s the solution? Hide in the Garrison?
Big danger there OOOOOO you shot a couple of zombies who can’t fight at all.
It’s not damaging at all Zombies will still exist.
I’d rather you log off and not being a pointless complainer that can’t deal with randomly dying to a zombie exploding on you.
Like get over it. It won’t last long at all it’s such a minior spot of you having to play if you’d rather miss out on the pre patch event and the prepatch reward for doing it then don’t do it. It doesn’t harm us if you don’t play it only harms you in not getting something.
Being able to opt out though does Harm it. Because then everyone will just opt out and there will be no scourge threat that we hear so much about.
You PvE, right? You know that mobs CAN be tough, especially event mobs, right?
