The people here seem hateful

To answer this one. No. Getting Suspended, or even Banned, on the forums does not have any impact in-game.

Further, getting Silenced or a short suspension in-game does not impact forum posting status. It USED to with the old forum software, but does not anymore.

Exceptions:

  1. If you get an in-game suspension of a month or more Blizzard will de-activate a subscription so it won’t renew while you can’t play. Eventually the forum software catches up to the fact that there is no Sub active, and disables posting.
  2. If you do something bad enough on the forums that Blizzard closes your account, that would impact you in-game too. That is rare though.

So basically the forums and the game are mostly separate with regard to penalties.

You know I wonder what my total post count would be if I didnt switch toons and never deleted the dozens I have that I used to post on?

I wonder what the post counts would be if we had not been through 3 or 4 different software versions for the forums - each of which wiped the post count.

I had over 40k before the 2018 software change to the current Discourse software.

I’m totally the savage, but my vulgarity is kept in check on both discord and here. Essentially I’d be talking like Break Stuff by Limp Bizkit. Or I used to do that in Teamspeak in my call of duty days. My blood pressure was dangerously high.
But, I play nice. I stay outta trouble. Carry on y’all.

By using proper grammar and spelling yourself. No one wants to be corrected on grammar or spelling

fun facts every trash hole i have on block are in league with one another and have several discord communities by witch the engage in targeted harassment

its like the saying birds of a feather stick together but these are dung birds so its just realy unpleasant and annoying

“I have my own office” funny. Ty for the lol.

Hmm, I think low post ppl should sometimes be watched out for but some with super high posts are gross too. No?

That part was actually true.

My house is rather large and has a “side” room that can’t really be classified as a bedroom, so we figured it must have been designed as a sitting room originally. That room is now my office.

90% toxic positivity.

5% people rightfully annoyed at Blizzard’s choices.

5% the rest.

Blizzard heavily prunes for this outcome. It is hard to understand why if you aren’t a Californian. Toxic positivity might as well be the state’s license plate tag line. Most people there feel like rage zombies just barely avoiding exploding out from behind their smile. And they like it that way, lets them operate as a sort of evil empire of forced conformity with plausible deniability.

Cuz its the wow community thats how they act bro

fixed it… thanks for letting me know that I addressed it incorrectly.

I don’t dislike people being hateful, you have clearly confused me for the OP. As for being “more respectful”, the person I replied to is a TROLL, and a stalker at that by their own admission (they use throwaway alts to spy on various people and harass them as you can see with their “divorce” comment).

Said person made THIS thread riling half the forums, and then comes HERE to try and further stir the pot because they could not troll there.
