To be fair, the entire Warcraft universe is influenced by games that came out before it, including the Final Fantasy series which has been around since the 80’s.

You’re blinded. I love ff14 but that game is a fraction of content and size of wow. You run around the entire zone to unlock flying in the zone, surprise, once you finish zones toy almost never go back and can fast travel everywhere.

I can go on and on and on

Lol FFXIV made Nier raid and add multiple jobs in 1 expansion.

Blizzard does not make original games, they never have.

Yeah, it’s funny how many people overlook the fact that Starcraft and Warcraft were originally supposed to be Warhammer games; they changed enough to avoid lawsuits when negotiations for the IP failed.

Luckily, back then the dev team was skilled enough to actually improve on the source material and make great games.
Sadly, the current dev team doesn’t contain any of those same people.

You can’t have the original Dev team working forever, Yuji Horii who is the creator of the Dragon Quest series is an old man now. He is still working, but I know he is going to have to trust his successors with the future Dragon Quest games.

The same goes for Blizzard. New people need to be brought in or the franchise will die when the original creators retire/pass on.

People need to stop being so hard on the new developers :frowning: , everyone has to start somewhere.

This is true, but they need to be replaced with people that have similar values. The current team has had plenty of time to prove that is not the case.

Fans went nuts when they showed off the FF15 crossover event and then as one of the rewards you can actually get the Regalia mount. Noctis car, first 4 person mount, passengers can do different poses while in the car. People in Twitch chat were all like I pay $50, $80 for that. But no you don’t have to pay anything extra you get it from doing the event.

Now we have Blizzard showing their new year’s pig that you have to pay for and that video got downvoted a lot.

Meanwhile in wow most quest/event reward is just another wolf and horse lol.

WoW and FFXIV are both good games and both have their ups and downs. The only reason WoW is still so big is because it’s one of the oldest MMO’s around and the time investment keeps people here.

I guarantee most people do this,

  1. I’m sick of WoW and want to quit.
  2. Look at all these other cool MMOs. I’m buying them all.
  3. Plays FFXIV, ESO, GW2, ect for a couple of days.
  4. These games are great. I really wish WoW could get cool stuff like this.
  5. Plays other MMO’s for a couple more days
  6. Man, I miss WoW. I’ve been playing it for 10 years and have so much time invested into it. All of my mounts, transmogs, pets, achievements, alts leveled, and all of my friends.
  7. Quits new MMO’s and goes back to WoW and feels happy to have all their stuff back.
  8. Hates WoW again 1 week later.

This is true. There is a lot of other great games out there with passionate playerbases. There are actually some games I’ve played and payed more for than this one in the past.
