The passion and love within Final Fantasy vs WoW

Fortnite has the most viewers on Twitch yet a lot of people do not like that game. Kind of the McDonalds of current gaming because a lot of people like something doesn’t mean its good.

You allude to them by comparing WoW to GTA, Sea of Thieves etc.

You pulled a pointless, worthless bit of info out so I figured I would do the same.

Oh, believe me, I don’t think WoW in its current state is anywhere near good. The story line is crazy cringe. It’s basically an interactive queue system where you sit in town waiting for your next mini-game. Gear is on training wheels and obtainable by anyone with a pulse.

This as well… Twitch viewers I have no idea equates the quality of a game.

League of Legends is fun to “watch”, but how deep does the depth go? No dungeons or raids. Barely any character customization besides new skins. Just because a game is fun to watch others play doesn’t equate to the actual quality of the game. Plus trends and popularity play a role like with Fortnite.

I mean you are more or less supporting my side of the argument you know. My entire thing was that the numbers on Twitch doesn’t reflect anything lol.

league of legends is the most successful game ever made. Outside of MAYBE candy crush. The total concurrent viewership on twitch is a good indicator of how popular and well off a game currently is.

ff14 is a passionless wasteland as well.

No I am not, I am saying that you know nothing about the amount of people who play WoW. Twitch, YouTube etc don;t appeal to all demographics, frankly most in my age group think 3/4 of the videos/streams are cess pools. Thing is most of us who started in Vanilla don’t need to watch someone else play a game, we take the time to enjoy it.

Heroes of the Storm wants to have a word with you. They pulled the plug on major parts of it because it never took off on those services. You’re wrong on so many levels it hurts.

Dude, once again, why are you quoting me than? I wasn’t the one that brought up Twitch numbers to support the idea of one game being more popular than another.

Heroes of the Storm never had the player base. They didn’t kill it because it didn’t have twitch views…good lord.

They did though. I played that game religiously for awhile. Did you even pay attention to their huge push to get viewership on those services? They spent over a YEAR pushing it. Front paging it. They STILL push it on the app almost every single day. HGC was born because they wanted to add players to their base. The more eyeballs on your product, the more people talking, the more players, the more money you make.

You’re arguing with your feelings. Numbers don’t lie my dude/ma’am.

That’s true we do, but how we go about it matters.

What does Garrosh do? Destroys a city to start a war. He then acts like an arrogant jackass throughout the expansion and turns his own Horde against him, causing a rebellion to incite and bringing both the Alliance and a sub-faction of the Horde down upon him.

What does Sylvanas do? Destroys a city to start a war. She then acts like an arrogant jackass throughout the expansion and turns her own Horde against her, causing a rebellion to incite and bringing both the Alliance and possible sub-faction of the Horde down upon her.

I know the story hasn’t been told in its entirety but come on… at this point Blizzard have been pulling our leg so much. “Oh oh! You don’t know who burned the tree yet!” , anyone remember that? They haven’t been doing Sylvanas any favors with making her blight and rez Horde soldiers at Lordaeron either.

We may have fought a big bad every expansion but there’s a reason everyone loves WOTLK. Look how they HANDLED how we fought Arthas. Freaking badass journey to Northrend, epic storyline with the light and tirion. Now compare that to how we fought Deathwing? Yawn snoozefest with the aspects and following Green Jesus the whole expansion.

Yeah, I find it odd. People say Wow is better but XIV offers a single character every single class in the entire game. To play at the same time. Not including professions. So I guess continuing to cry for duel spec’s in Wow, is better than playing a game that does exactly that. LOL.

They were pushing an Esports scene that just wasn’t there. The game didn’t have the player base to support it. Random people don’t just watch this stuff. Generally speaking, its the fans of the games that watch them.

You are six months into a two year expansion and wanting to read the last page of the book. Give them a chance to hash it out and see.

What are you 13? The only fanboy here seems to be you, defending a game with obvious flaws in quite the obvious fanboy way. FFXIV absolutely has it’s problems, and have even made some epic dumb decisions like WoW (Blue Mage not being a regular class for instance). But the game, like WoW, also has some pretty amazing features and mechanics WoW could learn from.

Now game esthetics are a personal choice, but for me the graphics between WoW and FFXIV …its just not fair to compare because one looks like 2018 graphics and the other looks like 2010 graphics. WoW with FFXIV graphics would be out of this world amazing. As for the gameplay, the claim that all the animations look the same is incredibly rich coming from someone who plays WoW. WoW does have MUCH better dungeons and raids, but the story in WoW has been a big MEH for quite some time now because your character is “background noise” rather then center stage like in FFXIV. I’m more excited about FFXIV content then I am WoW, but I’ll still play WoW because it has a lot more to do.

YES!! 100% this!!! The current story line is shallow. The amount of horrible tropes in every single new reveal that are used in middle-school fantasy novels makes me cringe.

You’re getting closer to the answer. More fans of the game = more viewership.
