The problem with Hpals are they barely cast at all…everything is instant while they have the best defensive / CDs out of all the healers.
No one’s gonna play classic cata. Of all private servers ever, Cataclysm servers are practically non-existent. One shows up and then poof, it dies off.

Your lack of wotlk arena knowledge is shocking! Their are alot of comps that counter hpal war. Disc/feral Disc/Rogue spriest/rogue Mage/spriest Hunt/Dpriest just to name a few

First of all, hell no. We should definitely not make changes. It’s bad. just accept the way the game is.
However, if they were to be made, yours are… bad. Pretty dang bad. It should look more like
-warrior damage reduced by 5%
-lava burst damage reduced by 15%
-Holy paladin healing reduced by 5%. Sacred Shield now has a 6 second cooldown.

This is the reason that the rabbit hole of class changes just cannot be gone down. This would literally break hpalas and warrs. No offense, but you don’t have the game knowledge to make balance suggestions. How can I tell? Because of the suggestions you made.
Honestly, it’s both. But nerfing their heals by a small amount (3-5%) also nerfs their mana because they will need to heal more.
No changes should be made at all though, and I stand by that.
agree re: remove Unrelenting Assault, Sacred Cleansing, and short sacred shield CD
Turn evil glyphed is also extremely toxic with no cast and practically no CD. It’s part of a very low skill w key strategy the best comp can utilize to essentially evict warlock+healer from the 2s bracket
i’d happily take some destro/ele damage nerfs (5-10%) to rein in the brainless warr hpal dominance
I think you are kidding yourself if you think a majority of people will play cata honestly. Dragonflight is just a better version of cata.
People might log in for the prepatch and you might have some people log in for the classes, i liked balance and hunter in cata but i dont think as a game cata is better. I do agree that most of my specs felt better though.
Even WOTLK is getting too far away from vanillia, i think classic should just relaunch vanilla with tons of changes and new raids and make it its own new game.
Best way to save Wrath Arena is a xrealm feature.
No one wants to level on a server which is dead arena wise (which is basically every server except Faerlina, Benediction, Gehennas, Firemaw).
I definitely agree that warrior and holy pally need some adjustments in whatever form (reduced sacred shield absorb, higher sacred shield mana cost or maybe even a cooldown for it, divine plea mana regen nerf, sacred cleansing nerf, ms healing reduce or overall damage output nerf etc).
I was so excited when they announced Wrath, my favourite expansion when it comes to pvp. After gearing and farming all the stuff I needed I maybe played 10h in total… havent logged on for 2-3 weeks because its the same comps over and over.
Unfortunately I dont think there will be balance changes or xrealm…

Yeah wrath arena is as dead as wrath classic at this point, not much hope.
Paladins heals aren’t as strong as people make them out to be. Paladins heals are strong in PvE because of Beacon of Light on a tank and Glyph of holy light. A glyph you don’t use in PvP and an ability that cost too much to cast against any purge.
In PvP, Holy Shock and sacred shield is their only instant healing capabilities and it’s worse than any other healers instant capabilities. Holy paladins have to cast their heals a lot more than any other healers. Riptide and Earth Shield are much stronger than Holy Shock and Sacred Shield, especially if you consider having an offensive dispel to deal with.
The reason why Paladin is better is because it doesn’t run out of mana. I can guarantee you that if shamans had a 1 minute CD mana tide totem, druid a 1 minute CD innervate or priest a 1 minute Hymn of Hope, that only applies to themselves, they would be just as broken as paladin are, if not more.
