The only way I'd tolerate 1 button rotation assist

Give it to healers only. That is all. Not for dps. Not for tanks. Healers only. We already have a lot of redundancy in the dps department, Blizz doesn’t need to make more. Let them go heals. Otherwise, it’s an idea that needs to be torpedoed.

If Blizz is concerned about new players and hard specs, they could always make a poll for the community on which spec is the easiest and then based on the poll highlight those classes/specs on the character creation screen.

Guess the game will be intolerable for you, then. Good luck.

Pfft… you’re gonna tolerate it one way or another, doubtful you’ll unsub.

I mean you don’t get a vote on the matter.
Either tolerate it or speak out with your wallet and unsub.

How will we ever survive a 5 year old questing and having fun.

Why healers of all roles? Do you not think highly of them or something?

I think very highly of them. Healing is a lot more involved and I’d say would warrant an assist from Blizz considering how hard Blizz continues to shaft them every expac. Plus more healer blood in the pool is nice.

It’d hardly be useful for tank, and most dps specs don’t need it. The only dps specs in the game that might need an assist are feral druids, arcane mages, and affy lock.

I can’t think of a topic that has generated as much dumb commentary as this rotation helper.

Wasn’t it explained in the interview that this concept is for game accessibility? Isn’t it for playing the game questing or simple dungeons, delves, or lfr?

A good 8 years ago I was in a car accident. Among the many injuries I had, my hand damage was missed until it was permanent. I am a player that would have benefited from this one button concept while I healed.

I can’t imagine how many other casual players that might love this idea. How many play this game? How many have disabilities? Helping people, sounds like a good idea to me.

Maybe hello disabbled people

Holy crap Blizzard better read this ASAP and cancel the entire thing with all the quickness because OP is definitely SUPER SERIOUS and means business and just said they will NOT tolerate this feature.

I mean I must have missed the memo the OP is god and thus can speak and act like they have some kind of power and authority, but nobody lies on the internet so the disconnect must be on my end!!!

I’m for helping people, but taking most of the work/bypassing learning a spec ain’t it. I’d rather them decrease the skill floor rather than lower the ceiling. Instead of making a one button auto pilot and doing all the work associated with it, why not do less work by putting in less mechanics?

It’s an accessibility option that will have zero effect on you or anyone else. Ya’ll are getting tiresome.

Are people worried that the one button users are going to outperform them?

People who just play the game to explore, pet battle etc don’t need to ever “learn a spec”.

Every class/spec should have 20 buttons max:

  • max 10 rotational buttons (single, aoe, offensive cd)
  • max 10 non rotational buttons (charge, interrupt, cc, defensive cd, stance/shapeshift).

Any button beyond that is just a meaningless copy/rename/double of existing abilities.

Current wow’s talent and spellbook are undoubtedly over bloated. And the solution is to trim it down via simplification, not dumb it down with automation.

Rotation helper’s purpose should be helping new players learning the rotation, not ignoring it completely with 1 button assist.

I’m beginning to wonder if this might be the case for some.

I agree. So why is Blizz making this? The dev time for this could be put into better things.

How much dev time you think it takes to make what is essentially a macro that just hits whatever button is lit up on the rotation helper?

More than it takes to not put an extra mechanic in a fight. More than it takes to just talk about talent trees and fix persistent issues.
