The ongoing issue in TBC needs to be talked about more

Yo I’m HelloJTello,

I want to talk about the following: TBC Anniversary Economy & Player Mindset.

I completely understand the argument of not using consumes due to Post-Nerf raids. On how they are not needed, but more of a necessity for some guilds with a parse minded mentality to use them. Some may even say there used for just giving that extra impact for a class to have a bigger intellect pool, stamina pool, etc. While other’s just see it as a zug zug way of playing the game.. Which the track record of this definitely reflects that & it’s history of people just wanting to blast every boss possible.. People have a right to feel this way and it’s 100% understandable.

Here is where my take comes in:

I believe anniversary since it’s start has had a really rough time with this economy from the gecko. Ofc we all know already that bots have been a plague and continue to show this as a reflection to what the auction house prices are since the beginning of anniversary. We all remember the black lotus issues which forced the devs to get involved and do something. We now face that same problem with Mana Thistle & many other profession like materials and how layering works from weekday to weekends, depending on the time of day/night. It is in my belief that Blizzard needs to interject once more and come up with solutions rather than giving handouts. I don’t think your community—and forgive me for speaking on its behalf—wants free flasks handed to them. I think they just want more ways to EARN them. Marks of the illidari are a great way to push it earlier this phase so we can still play the game and also not break the bank. If not a badge like vendor you did in SOD which didn’t stop people from playing the game… it gave them more ways to be surrounded by others with it. Dungeons were always packed. People were clearing old content for gold & items.

I think the main thing here Blizzard is that people WANT to farm but the grind also has to respect there time as well.

This part here is aimed at the community now in which I want to get across. I understand everyone has a farm they do and if it profits you, that is great & good for your time availability. However, you are still not getting the most out of your profits due to a losing battle from Character 1,2,3,4,5 who all has the same name and is beating you 5x-10x amount of your efforts.. Than the bots indicate the price of there scripts/botted farms on the very auction house we use together. So yes.. you may have an AMAZING FARM you do, but the Auction House effects everyone both rich & poor.

Once again to me and maybe others as well, it just feels like the effort being put into farming is not replicating the maximum rewards it should be. Outside of Dungeon farms which are instance capped btw, not every class can perform the BIS farms like others. And the solution is not to buy another boost btw amigos.

I think modern problems require modern solutions with this version of TBC.. But I also have a feeling Blizzard is going to wait out this phase and watch how Black Temple goes via economy wise. I just think 2x phases in and with how many people asked for this since the gecko, plus the learning lessons of classic anniversary.. you would think something would be done by now.

Just want to end it on a good note. I love playing TBC and it’s been fun. Just pointing out the obvious and hope some positive traction can come from it. Forum posts can be tough and I don’t want to come across attacking anyone. Just trying to be informational from person who raids 2x toons a week and plays the game actively.

Thanks! :locked:

Thanks homie. Sad that bots live on this website when I’m trying to make a good discussion point for people to see.

You could have had your discussion without mentioning who you are and promoting yourself lmao.

More discussion, less displays of narcissism. Feel free to try again.

Don’t know who you are don’t care who you are I’m also really really sick and tired of wow influencers demanding attention you people annoy the living hell out of me. You don’t do anything you don’t have an actual job you contribute basically nothing to society but you think we should all listen to you. Get a real job.

How is presenting who I am in 1x sentence narcissistic? My god you must be fun at parties lol. Have we lost the plot here? like I am talking to human beings on this forum site.

You’ve since edited your OP so it is much more suitable now. Since you’ve taken out the offending bit I think you have answered your own question.

Oh I’ve seen your channel! I don’t have much to add other than that idk why people are so aggro on the classic forum

They don’t have anything else to criticize so bring up anything for argument. Very cringe!

what’s it 2 you if he/she/it/Martian wants to promote. Devoxqt you want to do it too, so what the problem?

What are you on about moron?

your all butthurt that the guy promotes. so what

You and this clown are the problem

what is the problem

GDKP was and is the solution. Banning it broke gold circulation but never addressed bots and swiping which is a core component of the problem they are trying to solve.

They tried this ham-fisted approach that was bound to fail because swiping without circulation creates an inaccessible economy for the people not swiping. Which is why everyone swipes now.

Compare it the ERA where you can go to one GDKP and afford consumes for the week.

Blizzard abandoned this game a long time ago and almost no attention is paid to it. Any changes made now are performed by the least competent decisionmaker tenured in the building. They do not understand process or substance. It’s almost comical to watch their incompetence and incoherence over time. It took them 20 years to realize broadcasting to multiboxes was probably bad. They really aren’t good at this.

Even the fourms where people come to raise issues with the game are 99% of the time ignored and instead metabolised by the system in the form of, “community engagement” metrics. Where they convert the communities outrage against their negligence into their own metrics for shareholder value. There is no value here.
