When you realize Zovaal and Baine pretty much spent the entire expansion doing the same thing…
Zovaal is just baine as a villain… he does nothing but sit around sulking in a tower…

I want to wield Remornia.
Sorry Knifu, there’s a new crazy sword waifu.
lmao.
THE VILLAINS DON’T NEED TO HAVE MULTIPLE DIMENSIONS TO BE GOOD.
This is idea that every villain needs to be emotionally complex is literally why WoW is in this %%%%hole state in the first place. This constant need to seem clever and validate the villains reeks of English Lit 101. Zovaal crying for his mommy and whining about how unfair it was that he lost didn’t make him a better character. In fact, that whole scene basically just made him twenty times worse. At least Thanos went out with some dignity.
Many of WoW’s best villains pretty much have one thing that drives them forward and informs who they are. We don’t need a cutscene every patch about Sylvanas not wanting to serve and all of this other nonsense to make the villain seem important.
Sire D was great because even to the very end of his appearance in 9.0 he was still defined by his core character tenants. He didn’t start whining about “the greater good” out of nowhere in contradiction to how his character was established.
Remornia should absolutely be the next BDK Artifact weapon. No cap.
I don’t follow.
I was restating that I don’t get the appeal, which, until your post was basically just “Denathrius is the best!”
Bonespike, Condemn, Frost Witch Legendary (Consuming 5 stacks of Maelstrom Weapon will reset the cooldown of Stormstrike and cause your next Stormstrike to deal 30% increased damage) and the Abomination Factory
I’m also gonna miss convoke ![]()
I mean, he was a deceptive villain who tricks us into doing his dirty work through cunning and charisma, how exactly is he one dimensional?
Compare Denathrius rolling out the red carpet and literal welcome wagon for us to Zovaal exposing his entire army right out of the gate with mustache twirling villainy…
THAT (the Maw intro) is one-dimensional… Zovaal has no identity outside of classical Saturday morning cartoon villain…
which is bad because the narrative clearly denoted he’s supposed to be more like Denathrius… otherwise everyone being “Tricked” by him into following him makes ZERO sense.
Zovaal is so “one-dimensional” that his flatness as a character actively leaks into other characters exposed to him making them shallower and more dumbed down just by contact… prime specimen: “I WILL NEVER SERVE!!” Sylvanas…
The money I spent on it. I miss it so much!
It’s a meme. You asked a question, I answered, you asked the question again.
And what I’m trying to get at is, what does “don’t get the appeal” mean? Are you saying you don’t understand the logic behind why other people like him, or just that you don’t like him yourself?
As an example, I don’t like Witcher 3. But I understand why other people like Witcher 3 - I understand the appeal of Witcher 3, as in I understand the reasons why other people like the game, even if it doesn’t resonate with me.
Does that make sense to you? What do you mean “don’t get the appeal”?
same. i wish our friends were able to follow and help us in more areas than just the 4 maps.
Why will you miss it? It’s coming back.
Oh good, then i won’t miss it lol
I feel like we’re dangerously close to going in circles here. I’ll try again.
Again, after completing all the quests, I was not impressed with his character. I will not miss his character upon leaving SL. However, people seem to love him. I posted with the idea being that people would actually elaborate on why, because his mannerisms, the vampire vibe, and the retconning of the nathrezim did not scream “best character” to me. It’s also why I wondered if there was more to his story that I had not experienced (i.e.; a novel), which might make me reconsider.
Because, as pointed out in my own posts, he has a lot more complexity and depth when compared to a vast majority of WoW’s villain menagerie (most of which boil down to “unga bunga I wanna rule/destroy the world!”).
It’s not just Denathrius, Revendreth as a whole has charm and personality, this can be seen by people fawning over even the Dredgers, and they DON’T have Denathrius’ looks to make the case for them, that’s just purely their personality doing the work.
Denathrius IS Revendreth as he so exclaimed, so it makes sense that he’d be even more likeable than say… a Dredger when he has just as much personality and charisma as most of Revendreth with an Eternal’s physique to boot.
For a lot of people it is enough though.
Again, I’m getting the sense from you that you don’t know how to divorce your own personal tastes from an objective analysis of why people might like something. You understand other people can be justified in liking something even if you don’t like it… right?
Bruh
It’s like you’re cherry-picking my posts just so you can make disparaging remarks at me. It’s ok to have different opinions and have discussions on the forums. Really.
Ardenweald soundtrack.
The trumpet parts are amazing.
I’m gonna miss Theotar… can I take him with me?? tries to stuff Theotar in a cat crate
I actually I am really going to miss Kyrian spear It is pretty good for crowd control in PvP and M+ and in raid holding it before a boss move and using it at just the right time to get the extra crit damage is really satisfying to me. Prot warriors are so good at kiting with Spear+leap+intervene to a ranged.
Pocopoc. I don’t know why, but he really plucks my feels strings.
