Psst… here is the recipe for the Cardamom Cookies:

Okay, just to be up front with all my aspiring bakers and friends and lab rats. These cookies are based on an old world Scandinavian recipe and are not for everyone. Cardamon is an unusual flavor not often used in here in the states. I think they’re yummy though (like there are any cookies I really don’t like lol).

1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 teaspoon cardamom
dash cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon lemon zest
1/4 cup ground almonds
6 tablespoons butter
1 egg (beaten)
2 teaspoons milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Granulated sugar

Whisk (or sift) the first four ingredients together in a mixing bowl. Stir in the lemon zest and the ground almonds. Cut the butter into the mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in the egg, milk and vanilla until the mixture forms a ball. Chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour.

Preheat the oven to 375°. Roll the dough out to a little thinner than a 1/4 inch thickness. Cut into two inch circles and place on a lightly greased cookie sheet. Sprinkle with a bit of granulated sugar. Bake for 7-9 minutes or until the edges a nice brown color. Cool on a wire rack. Makes about 60 cookies.

Our plan is coming together nicely. I see you’ve willingly gotten them to take and eat the cookies we poisoned

Once upon a time, I gave Grumbles 10,000 cookies and got a 1-day forum vacation (for “spamming”) and it was 100% worth it.

I love you, Grumbles! You are so cute

I’ve made an especially fantastic batch of cookies straight from Thunder Bluff. Complimented of course with the finest milk on Azeroth. Here you go Lord Grumbles - you deserve it.

I just got your e-book and was looking at that recipe! Quick question, it says 1/2 granulated sugar, I’m assuming that’s 1/2 a cup, right?

1/2 a mole of granulated sugar.

Gasp! (dashes off to correct it - yes, 1/2 cup)

Thank you! Thank you!

There is a reason I am a round Gnome lol - I also just uploaded a repaired manuscript with the typo fixed lol. And the fourth one I started on so within the month (unless I get distracted lol).

How does one go about getting a book published?

Hey, cookie loa. Have you thought about mixing a little bit of Pumpkin Pie spice in Cacao Powder? I’ve also thought about maybe mixing brown sugar with it for the sweetness.

I use the pumpkin pie spice and cacao powder in my vanilla ice cream. That is my chocolate I love it.

First, you write one! (giggle)

You can use Amazon KDP which has all sorts of various helpful videos and guides for making it happen. Once you have everything in order, you can use their software or export your manuscript to epub format yourself. They also have cover creator software or you can use your own photo (that you have rights too). It’s actually pretty easy once you get the hang of it.

That’s cool. I’m an author too, but alas ain’t giving out my name lol. Not about cookbooks. Still, this is awesome. I know how much work goes into them.

I will have to give it a try, that sounds really intriguing.

Signed up with a publisher. Not self publish. We had to follow the publisher on all aspects…length, image sizes, number of pages, drafts,…it’s not an easy task. Especially non fiction.
