The 'Obtain the Fangs of Ashamane' quest is stuck

World of Warcraft Retail:
I accepted the quest using the Balance specialization and progressed all the way to stage 7 of the scenario to obtain the Fangs of Ashamane. I clicked on it and it went into my bag, but the quest did not progress. Switching to Feral specialization did not help either
Then I hearthstoned and went through stages 1–7 of the scenario again, but still could not complete it. The weapon is already in my bag, But the quest still cannot be completed.
Is there any way to destroy the Fangs of Ashamane and obtain them again?

Same here, tried various things to fix it but as both the quest can’t be abandoned AND The Fangs of Ashamane can’t be destroyed there’s not much I can really do. I’ve ran the instance to obtain them 7 times and at the end when you’re supposed to “Retrieve The Fangs of Ashamane”, they’re not interactable. I submitted a ticket, says wait time is nearly 4 days…absolutely ridiculous |:

Update: I submitted a ticket outlining the issue and got a BS AI-auto response. Reopened the ticket to try to get a GM’s assistance because if I can’t, my Druid is basically bricked for Legion, and I’ve had him for years, just didn’t do all of Legion’s content yet.

Any update? I looted the weapon, and the quest was stuck, i cannot destroy the weapon either.

I got the same reply, I wish the GM sent me that shxt won’t be affected by next wave of layoffs, sincerely.

Also failed at stage 7. Out of curiosity were you in cat mode and feral spec when you were doing the quest?

It’s a known bug confirmed by a streamer when streaming with 2000 viewers and some testers, so u can do nothing on ur side

Same here. Blizzard’s efficiency and communication in addressing these bugs are astonishingly inadequate. It’s no surprise that so many players are leaving.

Same here, I’m stuck on this quest (it will not complete). I walked up to the Fangs, clicked on them, they’re in my bags. I’ve tried equipping them, changing back to Feral spec, cat form, prowl, etc. Also tried logout and close game and Battle.net entirely, nothing works. Tried untrack and track quest again. I can’t abandon this quest. Nothing I can do to progress this.

Omg, finally someone had the same experience as me! I am so glad to find this post.

I tried absolutely EVERYTHING. I stayed in cat form, reset, relogged, restarted, left them in the bank, equipped them, unequipped them, reset instance, waited 20 minutes, left a bug report, asked Google Gemini, searched Reddit, and I could not find any solutions that worked. I am on a brand new account with zero add-ons and this being my only character, chromie time NOT legion-remix. I just wanted to snag the title and extra forms while leveling.

It appears the only possible thing to do is hope enough people submit bug reports that it will be fixed. It was driving me crazy but at least I know I am not alone. Perhaps it has something to do with the recent druid forms debacle from remix.

Same EXACT thing happened to me which is actually good because it means the bug fix team can easily recreate it. Fingers crossed it gets fixed soon.

No feedback at all, and not even the slightest sign they’re trying to fix the bug. Great job blizzard!

Update: So yeah after waiting nearly 5 full days for a human response, they’re likely not going to do anything to help. To my knowledge, GMs are able to delete things from character’s inventories which would allow players affected by this to attempt the quest instance again.

I also found it funny that I linked this entire thread here in a follow up on my ticket and the GM still said “So, after reviewing our records I was unable to find any other reports or data about an issue like this.” Like ??? Most of you stated you opened a ticket about this.

After going over the case I was able to see that you picked the Fangs of Ashamane at the end of the instance, the game did not register you completing the objective and when you try to re do the instance, since the game can see them in your inventory, it wont let you interact with the at the end of the instance to try and actually get the credit for the quest.

So, after reviewing our records I was unable to find any other reports or data about an issue like this. And, seeing this circumstances I will ask you to file a bug report for this, either with the in-game tool or via our official forums https ://support. blizzard. com/article/000015043 so the problem may become visible to our devs.

I know you may were hoping for an instant fix but this sort of issues will require and investigation and action by the developer team, the more examples and details they are given to work with the better.

For any new issues, feel free to contact us. Thanks for your patience too, I am aware responses are taking longer than usual these days, there is large influx of tickets recently and each one needs to be handled personally.
