In the current state of WoW lore, I see no reason why they can’t come up with a contrived reason for him to come back. This speaks to my low expectations of the writing at this point, more than anything else.
At this point I’d wouldn’t be suprised if Blizz tried to import things from SC 2 as the new big bad.

Makes sense to me. We’ve helped her accumulate an unholy army of the night with those effin’ turtles - we helped a lot to get to the water, and when we were doing the daily as a crab we were culling the weak turtles. The ones who got past us are the REALLY dangerous ones.
Kinda like how the Klaxxi said that the Pandaren help them by killing the weak ones, the strong ones survive.

Nomi was introduced in Legion, he burned food without regret as if he enjoys the players grief over it. I could of swore I saw a green glow in his eyes.
In BFA the flames were coming from inside the tree before the catapults hit and if you ask me the tree burned faster than a normal tree would.
As I was walking by a group nightborn haveing a conversation, I over heard Nomi almost burned down Suramar.
I suspect Nomi is the one pulling all the strings here, I saw Nomi standing behind the Jailer as I was escaping to Oribos.
Our true enemy is a burning pandaren cook, he’ll destroy us all without anyone haveing noticing. All Nomi has to do is to manipulate, than everyone becomes his puppets.

I think its gonna be multiple big bads throughout the next expansion. I think its gonna be about closing all the portals that have been open, closing Azeroth off from the previous expacs.
Turns out those armies weren’t so endless lol
I still have my fingers crossed it’ll be about going to the center of Azeroth to deal with the giant sword and whatever happened to the world soul.
