I can only quote posts. Contrary to what a certain other poster claims, I haven’t been working on getting my forum status up. For one thing, you have to read something like 500 different topics, and I pretty much just stick to this one.

But I think it would be really cool to have the music to go with your songs, Venj.

Trust Levels

Trust levels are a participation system on the forums. The more you post, like, reply, read, and visit the forums, the more you work your way to a higher trust level. Increased Trust levels grant additional privileges. Everyone who is new starts off at Trust Level 0 but will quickly climb by reading and visiting the forums within their first few days.

TRUST LEVEL 0

Trust level 0 users cannot:

• Flag posts
• Post more than 3 topics
• Post more than 10 replies

TRUST LEVEL 1

Get to trust level 1 by…

• Entering at least 5 topics
• Reading at least 30 posts
• Spend a total of 10 minutes reading posts

Users at trust level 1 can…

• Post unlimited topics and replies
• Edit wiki posts (more on Wiki Posts Below)
• Flag posts
• Create links and video embeds to trusted websites like Blizzard websites, YouTube, or Twitch

TRUST LEVEL 2

Get to trust level 2 by…

• Visiting at least 15 days, not sequentially
• Casting at least 1 like
• Receiving at least 1 like
• Replying to at least 3 different topics
• Entering at least 20 topics
• Reading at least 100 posts
• Spend a total of 60 minutes reading posts

Users at trust level 2 can…

• Have an increased “like” count.

TRUST LEVEL 3

Get to trust level 3 by…

• Must have visited at least 50% of last 100 days
• Must have replied to at least 10 different topics
• Of topics created in the last 100 days, must have viewed 500 topics
• Of posts created in the last 100 days, must have read 20,000 posts (both starting posts and replies)
• Must have received 20 likes, and given 30 likes.
• Must not have received more than 5 spam or offensive flags (with unique posts and unique users for each, confirmed by a moderator)
• Must not have been suspended (including forum suspensions or in-game account actions of any Blizzard game)

Trust Level 3 users can

• Create Wiki Posts (more on that below)
• Post animated gifs, images, compatible video embeds, and links to any website

For regular users, even if you are Trust Level 3 on the Overwatch, Heroes of the Storm, or BlizzCon forums, your forum stats and trust level will be different here.

By “topics,” they mean forum threads. So you can get to 500 just by reading guild related threads, but it will be much faster if you click into other stuff too. You can also cheese the 20,000 read messages requirement by scrolling slowly through the megathreads. (High elf and vulpera threads are great for that.) I did it while watching YouTube videos.

To see where you are right now, click on your character portrait in the top right, and then on your name in the dropdown that comes up. You’ll be able to see your stats for most of these requirements.

To see your current trust level, use this URL.

Replace your name and realm in the URL, and then control+F trust. The realm is not capitalized. The highest trust number listed is your current level. (When you gain a new rank, it can take a few hours to update.)

The Developer Q&A asked us to provide feedback specifically about what problems we have running our guilds with the new IsOfficer consolidation. So i’m gonna spend some time actually trying to explain what i’d like to see and why.

Access officer channels
This provides access to /o and the officer voice channel.
This is a big one. Our guild has what basically amounts to a Jr. Officer rank. We want that rank to have access to officer chat and some permissions like Calendar Events and Guild / Officer Notes, but we don’t necessarily want or need that rank to be editing the message of the day or guild information, or the ability to remove people from voice chat or delete logged messages.

Persistent chat lodges an issue here too. If permission to access officer chat is restored as a separate control, we also need the a new ability to allow or deny access for reading the old logged messages in the officer channel. This allows us to invite a rank temporarily to officer chat without compromising what may be sensitive officer chat. I don’t want to have to clear 8000 messages out of the chat log to do this.

Our workaround for this currently being a grouped permission is that we’ve made a battle net community that our jr officers and the sr leadership are a part of, rather than granting those permissions and hoping that things don’t get edited when they shouldn’t. What we would want to do for inviting a rank to officer chat on a temporary basis for feedback or suggestions can also be achieved though this workaround, but with much much more overhead than what controls used to be available to us. Id be more comfortable allowing that access at a temporary basis if we had better logging tools to see who made what edits.

So, here’s a quote from another smart Guild Master (back in August) explaining why separate permissions are necessary:

This entire thread is people explaining how they used to have separate permissions for separate officer ranks and why they set things up that way.

A large guild needs multiple officers. One person can’t do it all. But it makes no sense for every officer to have all the permissions currently available under “is officer”. I have a tiny guild, but even in my guild, I don’t need someone else setting the message of the day, changing guild information, or randomly erasing other people’s chat messages.

It would be nice, for instance, to allow access to officer chat without allowing all these other permissions. Making all these permissions separate check boxes again is truly the only sane way to fix this.

Yes, I realize a certain poster believes I’m only doing this to pad my forum stats and um… Well, I can’t remember what he’s always accusing me of doing beyond keeping the thread alive. He’s partly right about keeping the thread alive, but that’s not really why I do this. I do it because Ion ticked me off by asking for more feedback when this thread already had over 1k posts, and because nobody is more stubborn–I mean tenacious–than I am. I’ll be posting here until they either fix the permissions or close the thread.

The over all point though is contact information is out there and can be used.

At this point continuing to moan here in the forums is a useless. If we really want answers or even the holy grail of Blizz fixing the issues that have been documented countless times in these threads, people have to get off their butts and do the uncomfortable work of finding people who will listen or at least make others do the listening.
