The new Ele tier is just like ToS

Look at both, almost identical in terms of game play. I wish it was a bit more different. Now granted sure the 2 bonuses may provide some serious up time on the elemental and we may end up playing Ascendance. This also drives all Ele players into NF to use that covenant legendary too. The tier doesnt help much in M+ since you dont lava burst on trash unless it’s a proc under certain conditions. My idea for interesting tier bonuses would be:

2P - When you earth shock you have a 20% chance to place earthquake under the target. When you earthquake have a 20% chance to cast earth shock on the target.

4 - P When Earthquake is cast via Earth Shock all targets in the Earthquake suffer from Shake the Foundations (which was a elemental artifact talent). When Earth Shock is cast via Earthquake then all targets in the Earthquake are hit with Earth Shock.

This kind of would play great with aftershock. Even if you dont use the talent it could provide interesting gameplay. Granted other ideas can be formed instead of basically getting a re-hash of a previous tier.

The set bonus being targeted towards lava burst is amazing. Ele doesn’t need more help with doing aoe damage, it is currently our strength in pve. The problem is we are one of the strongest aoe classes with an argument for the worst pure single target spec in the game.

The set bonus being targeted vs aoe/cleave would just make the gap between our single target and aoe even worse.

Well that 4 piece in m+ would be so disgustingly broken it’s not even worth thinking about…

Also, this would just be a boring passive. Would change nothing in the rotation, resulting in only probably a nerf to earth shock. At least with the one they have now, you can work towards trying to achieve 100% uptime on fire ele, as well as gaming lava surge procs on the 8s timer.
