Back in Cata there was an item that was gathered along with herbs called ‘Volatile Life’.
These were used in a number of crafting recipes that were invaluable to people raiding at the time. (flasks, gear, etc)
One morning I logged on a bit early and I was a little grouchy as I am prone to be at 5am.
Someone was complaining in trade about how there was only one stack of volatile life for sale and it was too much money. They went on for a couple minutes whinging about people who overcharge for stuff.
Being a curious sort of cat, I wandered over to the AH and looked for myself. They weren’t overpriced at all. In fact, my guild was still pushing content(albeit in a casual fashion) and we were getting low on supplies.
I snatched them up like a gnomish locksmith. Zip-zap! Gone!
Then there were none for sale and this somehow made the individual even more upset than the item being too expensive.
I felt weirdly satisfied. My coffee even tasted better.
