The most bug filled expansion since Vanilla

This is hands down, probably one of the buggiest versions of WoW I played since the early days of Vanilla.

I think the game is really feeling the loss of talent over at Blizzard. The AH fiasco early on, along with the guild bank just going poof would have never happened years ago.

I don’t know what the heck is going on, but I feel like I’m playing some buggy early access game.

Its more along the lines of them setting expectations of 8 weeks, but can’t deliver it. they spend 4+ more weeks trying to fix what they couldn’t finish, and the cycle repeats. Ending with a buggy broken product that we’re all rabbling about.

I don’t know why they are keeping Kotick’s timetables. I thought under MS they would have more autonomy. I think what is going on, is that the current structure and directors have been trained to do things a certain way, so even though they might have more leeway to change things up, they are still operating like they are Act-Blizz.

Unfortunately these things were ambitious achievements requested by the player base. Developers in the past probably would not have tried to be honest. Combining so many systems of old with bnet options of new. Text “Walls of No” were built because of these examples. Kind of why they stopped combining realms, which had at the end an unfortunate side effect of deleting characters. Or why they have not yet replaced the main back pack on your inventory.
Cross realm and faction guilds were nice though, too bad it did a number on guild banks.

It is crazy that they are trying to add these QOL features into this old game. I don’t think they have enough of the old guard around that understands the code base to make these big changes, or at least do them without eating up a ton of resources.

I think a lot of dev time was eaten up with the talent tree revamp, the cross faction grouping, cross realm guilds, and warbands.

Probably is why this expansion feels it a bit lite with content.
