No, this is spot on. This is basically what every person I have ever known that plays the game thinks as well. There will always be you all that love any and every thing that they do though. Kudos.

nope. kiss/curse can go swivel.
not a pvper, but can understand why it sucks
Personally kinda eyeball it. Works for me.
meh
fk no, this is the biggest offense on the list by far and blizzard should be ashamed.
eh, not ideal but serves its purpose.
rental? it was my drop… says my name on the tag… Spose I could go replace it?
In legion, yeh. Kinda of… pointless here now tho…

Thats my voice.

Nope, they’re Blood Elves, they’re not High Elves (the Thalassian elves who never left the Alliance and/or never wanted to siphon mana from living creatures).

Theres alot more left then you think btw.

This line made me lol at my desk at work. Well said OP and thanks for making my morning a bit better.

This is the current leadership of the WoW dev team. “By theorycrafters for theorycrafters”

There is no balance. it is all gameplay systems meanwhile the story, the fun niche elements, and such are all suffering. We need a few expansions back to back where it is a heavy focus on the lore and narrative. Stop trying to reinvent the gameplay wheel to try and appease players. Just go with what works as shown in the past and focus on other things. Your raid encounters have been spot on the past few expansions for the most part.

Also one final thing. Mythic+ is fun and I don’t want it removed however I also want the old style of dungeons like in vanilla back. Focused on a huge size, non linear progression, and exploration. Therefore I suggest to separate the current style of dungeons used for mythic+.

Rename the mythic+ style to “gauntlets” as that is what they are. They remain as they are meanwhile dungeons go back to the old style with 3-5 huge dungeons per expansion not attached to mythic+

Personally I’m excited for the level squish and being able to level anywhere I would like too, more so than how it is now. They are bringing back some old spells which is nice, they have made transmog less restrictive and I hope to see more of that, more character customization is coming… This expansion to me sounds like it’s going to be more like Legion which even though wasn’t the best it was much better than bfa.

Things that I hope to see improve is story development in the game and a more focused directive than the scrambled pile of crap we got from world quests everyday. Then the spoon feeding of the main story every three months. Meh I felt very disconnected from it all making what was big moments feel smaller.

The “forums/Reddit/fansite feedback doesn’t represent the full playerbase” argument is inherently flawed, because these are the actual only places where the players can attempt to communicate with the developers. Obviously not everyone chooses to post online about games, but the people that do are generally the ones most concerned and invested in the franchise and dismissing them all off-hand is just a cop out to avoid accepting any feedback as valid.

It is called gas lighting.

They are doing it on purpose now. This is because this allows them to evade responsibility.

Don’t do that, they will lock it, lol.

Haven’t we had rental powers for most of wow via talents coming and going. Hmmmmmm

In concept yes. It needs to be better balanced, more player choose able, and should have been an xpac long system.

I like the new system better. I also understand why they removed the venders.

Literally have been doing this since vanilla back when I raided.

lol, did you start in WoD?

Again have been doing this since BC and no I do not.

Love it. Just need to remove the wait between Pt1 and Pt2.

Do you mean abilities? If so then I do hate this, but again this has been a thing since vanilla with set bonuses.

Actually yes. I love systems of character growth that can be done solo or group.

I had this happen but opposite I voiced my support once that sometimes I do see people speak for me on account of we share the same opinion, and then some guy started raging about “so you believe in absolute right and wrong and no one has opinion”.

I think people on the forums just are contrarian for what ever reason. Not necessarily a society thing, because if I’m honest I can be narcissistic at times and it involves never caring what other people are saying lol.

Except even those places don’t have a consensus on most issues. Also the types of gamers who go to forums is most likely not representative of a lot of the player base.

So where is the magical place that we can go that represents every single player?

And anticipating your answer of “there isn’t one” do we then accept that we can never know what most people want from the game and give up on ever providing any kind of meaningful feedback, because it will never represent enough people?

Which many people scream about wanting back. Those weren’t rental powers, those were class identity and they took them away, repackaged them and gave them back as a former shell of what they were, and then we had to pick 1 out of 3 of them.

This game is a joke anymore. Shadowlands will determine whether my wow time finally ends and I am sad about thinking about it.

The WoW subreddit has 1.4 million members. But yeah, 2 or 3 is pretty accurate so lets go with that.

Not really they where rental powers, arms artifact ability was a rental power that is the only useable talent in the row. Idc about it being on a wep before and a talent now. It’s a gimmick like all talents it comes it goes sometimes it becomes a base ability sometimes it goes away for a long time. Class identity was things like stance dancing presences bot really the random talents that come and go. People barely swapped talents around as it is.
