Ive not seen a single fight on VOD where mages werent on top on the charts. I understand that the more raids come out the better Warriors and especially warlocks get but as it is right now as I understand it - Warriors arent getting the good consumables like Mages yet. Like I said maybe im wrong and im somehow only watching VODs of groups that just have bad warriors and rogues but mages are always on top.
Also its much easier to play âperfectlyâ in classic than it is in retail. Sorry to burst your bubble but Classic just isnt that difficult. As long as you grasp downranking and 5 second rule there is basically nothing to raiding. 5-man dungeon bosses in retail have more mechanics than practically any boss in classic thus far and the classes in Classic are so f*cking simple its embarassing. Its hard âNOTâ to play your class at a near-perfect level. And it doesnt take any skill whatsoever to collect/buy consumables lol.
Personally, I just roll my eyes at all these people doing AoE groups for XP. Honestly just go do M+ if thatâs the mindset you want to bring to Classic.
Anyone that relies on âthe metaâ is trash. Bring the player, not the toon.
I play with my wife, warrior tank. My best friend, healing shaman and myself a mage with major aoe damage. I never build for aoe cleave, just build a group. If we happen to have multiple cleave classes, so be it. Classic is meant to be savored. Enjoy it. What is the rush? To raid and get bored at 60?
Canât wait for TBC. Come Heroic Magistersâ Terrace, the most fail safe PuG composition will be tank, healer, and 3 Mages.
3 Mages not for the AOE, but the 3 Polymorphs. Enhance Shaman⌠good luck getting into a H MgT PuG.
If we do get TBC, I will most assuredly roll a rogue. They are still fantastic choices.
What about sap rogues and trap hunters? Those helped too.
You make the assumption enhance shaman will ever leave classic.
Iâm never leaving Classic. Blizzard will have to shut it down and drag me out kicking and screaming. I am finally home, TBC will never attract me.

Strong not understanding the meta. Its not about raw aoe dmg only. Mages x3 control the flow, control the pack, and kick all sorts of awesomeness. Just lol at thinking a warlock x3 is even close to the same for this meta.
Only bring a warlock if you want to use them to pull the packs with Eye.
can any of that be equipped at 32? no? maybe forums donât update? smartass maybe?
So finding out the fastest way to level makes you bad.

thatâs not that fastest way to level, solo content is. Second this is a meta for endgame not getting a warr carried thru zf.

so i should listen to the lvl 32 (maybe higher from forum update) tell me that the ones that have been 60 for weeks from aoe farming are actually leveling slower than everyone else.

Not even. does the 60 complaining that the data doesnât count because his experience is different matter? No data is all that counts not subjective experiences. Heâs not even wearing easily obtainable bis so no he doesnât know what heâs talking about.
On the flip side, AOE mage groups are only participated by mages who have no concept of proper CC and will be useless come endgame. Put them in a group that is not mindlessly spell cleaving and they will be a solid fail.
They are thatâs why they parse low, aoe spec by all means is trash dps, ele shaman level of bad dps. 31/0/20 mages are doing some work not blizzard aoe donât need to tank groups. Data is what counts.
