Now here’s an OP I can get behind!
They’ll replace it and it’ll break again after the warrantee in my experience lol.

I just bought the expansion and a sub, was out all day and got home, tried to launch the game, and that’s how I found out about the maintenance lmao
He the alert magically showed up just now.
110%, I’ve provided feedback on the beta about bugs I caught and when the game launched they were still there. Like what was even the point. I included lots of details, that with the logs should have been more than enough. It’s just disappointing to see.
If only I could quit.
luminystra we are guildys fyi The old gods
I know right!! I can’t get my breath! A new expansion drops and it’s nothing but maintenance… it’s almost like… we’ve… been… here… 8 times before this.
Ya know… what strikes me as comical… is that typically, the people complaining about stuff like this, also complain about the bugs they experience… wellllllll guess what, this is how they get fixed.
I’ll take 4 hours of maintenance every day before I take bashing my head against a wall trying to find a work around for something I really want to do.
well there you go
I setup so launcher auto exits when wow start, and everything is up to date
There is also an abnormal amount of gaslighting around here for some reason where people try to convince us that only they have accurate memories of the past, and our memories aren’t to be trusted, so we just need to believe them that it was always exactly like this? Lol.
Sure there have always been bugs and downtime. But the frequency is way way way higher now.
Not to mention, even if it was the same in the past, that wouldn’t exactly be a good thing either. Just because something was always bad doesn’t somehow morph it into good and okay.
I don’t know about that. It was a VERY smooth launch. Most of the bugs are minor inconveniences. And downtime is meh.
Early access, I witnessed almost 0 issues. Which is super rare for day 1 deals.
This is pretty on par for expansion release. First 2 weeks are always an up and down roller coaster. Now if this continues past the 2 weeks, then we can call it abnormal
We could…exercise…lol…while we wait
We could do literally anything lol. Im sure people have laundry/dishes they’ve been ignoring…
It’s also funny that it doesn’t matter what day maintenance is or if its the usual hour on Tuesday.
People will whine about it with these silly topics.
The game used to be down for 8 hours pretty much every weekly maintenance. That would often become 16 + hours leading to gametime being granted to players.
I specifically remember the game being down for about five days during tbc, with a couple of days of 400+ ping around it.
I wasn’t around for shadowlands or DF launch but… this is by far the smoothest launch I’ve experienced with wow. The downtime windows align with the exact minute I finish work, and it’s frustrating, I get it, but stating you’ve been around for multiple launches does not add legitimacy to your stated opinion, when the statement being made is objectively incorrect, and anyone who was around in the early days will know that.
It amazes me how peoples lives revolve around WoW. Like…how far out of your way do you have to go to get a job which gives your only day off during the week exactly at Blizzards maintenance which has remained the same for 20 years
nothing could be worst then garrison…
I dont think people have been around long enough to remember the DAILY maintenance that used to happen during older xpacs. I still dont think we should not complain but this has been relatively stable, considering the changes are at a base level for things that have been in the game for the last 20 years (shared reps, etc).
you know full well this is one of the players everyone is complaining about who leaves after the first boss (I am fine with that by the way, game how you game).
Maintenance was longer in the past XD
