It’s a shame that there’s hardly any story about Sir Zeliek before his undeath. Seems like he should be a real BA, being the only(?) undead pally in WoW lore.
Literally nowhere did anyone tell you that it was making stuff up. You went off on some hostile tangent after being told that your stuff wasn’t the topic of discussion and took it personally.
I always thought I was pretty snappy around here, but you’ve seriously outdone me with the hostility and condescension. Take a step back and learn to read.
Uhh, she’s literally responding to Kiss because of their rejection of Undead Paladins.
It’s an established lore character, that does indicate undead Pallys are possible, in some way. In that case, it’s by the strength of his faith in the Light.
If you want to start a riot about them sticking with lore, I am all for it. I’m going to be on the warpath about Arthas for forever and ever, now. Blizz done messed up.
She went off on the same tangent in another thread.
Ok…but that’s another thread. What she’s saying is relevant to the discussion here.
Wait wait wait… forum fight?
Dude idk, folks are in a craze over these elf options.
If anything good comes from this, besides people getting a lot of new and interesting transmogs and customization options… Maybe this will push Blizzard into creating other Undead class combinations that weren’t doable before.
I’ve promoted the idea of a Forsaken Paladin in the past, and I still do. I think it can work. But, I need there to be more justification than it simply being a new option. And, I’d personally love for the Forsaken Paladin sect to be a bit twisted, as the Forsaken are themselves.
I’m just sitting here, nomming on crab cakes for lunch and looking up old WoW characters.
This is a grand old time.
I never said it was irrelevant to this discussion. Just saying her hostility over this subject is off the charts.
So answer me this, why can’t the maximize profits by appealing to both. Give the lore nuts, like me, the justification while giving the anti-lore players what they want?
I am all for customizations and everything, but I like some reasoning behind it. The 3 classes being added to all races? mage, rogue and one other? no one said that races can’t have those that go against the norm.
The thing is, in a game like WoW, the lore can be, and often is, fluid, new lore made up almost on the spot at times. The gatekeepers are annoying, but I am one that is like “ok, it is against established lore, but is there new lore that makes it valid?”
Know what other group is annoying? “screw the lore, give me what I want with no justification”. The thing is, there is that middle ground where both sides can be happy, it does not have to be all one way or the other.
I think it’s definitely the idea. They want to expand on a lot of things and honestly Darkfallen options was just an easy win. No effort needed either since they already existed in the game files for years. (aside from the recent BFA Night Elf inclusion)
Just readin’ this stuff is exhausting lmao.
Exactly. It can be done. They can add more storyline, they can add racial class skins… there are options.
Absolutely. They irk the heck out of me, but overall for the community a huge win. I do think they could have added some sort of dialogue in anticipation of the Paladin and Druid thing not making any sense, but, maybe in the future.
i was watching nobbel’s 3 hour arthas video last night. idk why, it popped up. but it was awesome. lore is worth hangin on to and evolving
Since time travel and the multiverse is an angle/aspect to the lore
Anything goes,
weird how it’s people who are interested in the lore that typically dont understand this,
From the looks of Dragonflight, it seems like it’s going to be a little more grounded so hopefully that means we get more interactions with subtle lore bits. Folks can hate Calia if they want, but that quest scenario was pretty good.
I also hope this means that the Forsaken will stay in touch with Maldraxxus
If the purpose is the lore then what is the point of having it be online? Having online multiplayer doesn’t really add anything to the story; if anything it takes a lot away from it
They have so much in common, it’s hard to see them not communicating in some way.
