The lore people need to stop

Too bad for you people in a few short months 3 classes going to be put to every race

With more to come possibly

The seal is already broken, bub. Can’t stop the water pressure now.

Not going to happen. The helfers work tirelessly to ensure Blizzard never has a chance to expand on void elf identity.

Hell, the lore used to be that Holy Light would burn undead at the mere touch of it. Death Knight tanks would be in constant pain and relief when being healed by Priests and Paladins.

In fact, it was even noted that if a Forsaken was healed by Holy Light, it would return them to their senses (because they were evil, emotionless monster people) and they would be disgusted by what they were.

Undead Priests weren’t using Holy spells, they were Shackling it with Shadow spells and forcing it to do their bidding.

But those days are gone. We can’t have anything nice anymore.

I support our nightmare overlords.

Theyre a bit weird but add a tiny bit of lore and its doable

Slap a void skin over the top of their attack and job done. Paladin of the void

As a lore person GOOD!

Gameplay before story all the way. Blizzard doesn’t have the luxury to be super restrictive with things anymore so they either adapt to make their current players happy or slowly die.

The good thing is none of the additions there do break lore.
Some are dumb but not lore breaking.

This I can agree with as a consistency issue with WoW right now since the patch. The inclusion of these customization options pretty much just destroyed any and all arguments against undead paladins and druids.

My belf pally looks good, though. His mog is on point with the pale skin and red eyes.

I still don’t get the hype around a pale red eyed belf but crapping on lore folks is not the hill to die on here.

Muh lore.

LMAO.

Sure it is, even the lore community likes these additions… its only the boomer gamers who like to punish themselves that are trying to stick to a dead mindset about how restrictions are “good”

Ive been around a long time, since the beginning… UO up to renessaince and EQ up to LDON, and have always thought it was weird how gamers wanted to be punished in a video game

That mindset is finally dying off and the era of customization is upon us.

Then you have a problem with some people against the additions, not ‘‘lore people’’ in particular since you said the lore community likes the additions.

I’m asking separate though of why people are so giddy with these kinda changes. You barely see the character, or even the eye color yet a few people get so giddy with these customizations (lol)

They like the options for Blood Elves, because that makes some level of sense.

Yes, so, tell me. As a Forsaken I’d like to have Draenei hooves, Void Elf tentacle hair and Night Elf black eyes… oh, and also I’d like to be a DemonHunter, but also a mage.

Restrictions are bad, aren’t they?

No, it really isn’t. What’s dying off is thematic integrity. The people that actually care about a good story or good lore or things making sense, they still care about those things. They don’t just disappear because bad decisions are being made.

To be fair, her post didn’t make very much sense. it was just a lot of assumptions about people she doesn’t like.

That sounds good… ship it
Skill selection MMOs are fine, in UO my mage had a macro to swap to a Halberd and whack people after casting xplo/ebolt… and had stealth

So black eye, hooved, winged tentacle undead sounds good

And how would you make this make sense? Does it matter at all that people with any level of intelligence would take a look at that list and realize it’s complete bs and makes zero sense?

All of this is justified in lore. And I’m a fan of lore. Legit, lore is always evolving and changing. Shadowlands was garbage to me, and I hate it, but cross faction and these combinations make perfect sense. Here is why.

  1. Undead paladins have been justified since Wrath. Here’s my source.
Undead Paladin Justification
  1. Death magic is to life magic as Void Magic is to light. We have void priests. Having Death Druids isn’t a stretch. Say they are using death magic like void priests use theirs. There is technically no lore set in stone for this yet, but it’s logic at that point. It would be nice to see some lore created/expanded for it, though, as the drust are a different thing, apparently.
  2. Faction war has been pointless since after Legion, our characters aren’t a hive mind and should be able to choose their own path.

Before even then. From the time of original Naxx, in Vanilla.
